Got a source for that?

What was the point anyway? So hockey players party. Big whoop. Yours do too.

Actually, there was a picture circulating around LGW a while ago that showed Drapes and Cheli at what looked like a crappy college house party.

Here's one an LGW member posted a while back when he saw Z and Willy at the bars:

I've got to deal with Bubba 1 and Bubba 2 announcing this one. The Detroit feed is blacked out for me. :( Oh well, there's always the mute button!

Go Wings!!!

Aw come on, Pete and Terry are two of the best announcers in hockey and thats no homerism either.

Few thoughts from the enemy here...

1. I think the boys will be much readier for this game than they were last week.

2. Having Bonk back is a bigger deal than you might think.

3. Trotzy is reinserting Ville "Epic Fail" Koistenen on a PP unit, replacing Sullivan there. Gak. Neither one is a good option. Though it hasn't been named, word is either Kevin Klein or Greg DeVries will be the healthy scratch for us.

4. Rinne likely in net, though some rumor had Ellis tonight since he brings his A game against DET, and Rinne tomorrow. We'll see.

5. In order to make the playoffs, Trotz is taking it in 3 game chunks. Gotta go 2-1 each time. So far so good. Win tonight, keep the pace.

6. David Legwand is absolutely on fire.

Our projected lines with the return of Bonk:

Dumont-Arnott-Sullivan

Erat-Legwand-Jones

Smithson-Bonk-Pihlstrom

Belak-Fiddler-Tootoo

Weber/Suter

Hamhuis/Zanon

Klein/Devries/Koistenen

Rinne likely, slightly possible Ellis

Not to burst your bubble but in order to make th playoffs, the preds need 90-92 points based on historical averages.

Right now they have 57 pts in 57 games.

(90- 57)/2 = 16.5 lets say 16. Thye have to win at least 16 out of the last 25 games.

They have to go at least 16-9 for a winning percentage of 0.640 despite having a current winning percentage of 0.500

There are only 6 teams in the league with that high of a winning percentage (over the entire year). San Jose, Boston, Detroit, Washington, New Jersey and Chicago.

Your odds don't look very good.

Although for example Ken and Mick clearly states when a penalty is bad by the refs even if its the opposition or the wings... never heard that from any other local broadcasting teams tbh

In what way? Terry Crisp may know his hockey, but Pete's play by play is horrendous and after all these years hasn't got any better. I put them down in the ranks with Anaheim and Los Angeles. Now, if you want entertaining, put in Dave Randorf in for Pete and watch how uncomfortable people in Tennessee get on their couches.

They used to strike me as good ol' boy types, but I really think they've shaped up. I can listen to them a helluva lot easier than I can the Anaheim announcers. There is no bigger homer than their whiny-ass color guy, whoever he is.

:bored:

I very rarely end up listening to out of town broadcasts so I can't comment on it.

I've listened to ALOT of different announcers, I only hear Ken&Mick at home games... and they are very good announcers being local broadcast team and all compared to other cities... no doubt.

Terry and Pete are usually objective, and just fun to listen to for me...thats all.

@the guy who showed me the playoff odds:

yeah, I know its an uphill battle, but look at it this way, if we go 7-4 in each set of 11 games left, which is completely feasible, we wind up at around 85-86 points with 3 games left. Go 2-1 and you're at 90 which is all I can ask for.

Should be a good game!

Wings 5: Hossa, Datsyuk, Rafalski, Lidstrom, Hossa

Preds 2: Arnottx2

Filppula with 3 assists to continue to prove why he is worth the money when he is not stuck with zero PP time and crappy linemates!

I heard a lot of Wings fans bashing the Preds announcers in years past, particularly Crisp, but I've been forced to watch some Wings-Preds games via the Preds feed this year, and they seemed really objective. Have they gotten better, or what? Is it just cause the Wings-Preds aren't as much of a rival as they were a couple years ago?

Um, I don't know, because I only started watching hockey last year when we made our run and spent all summer catching up on a life's worth of information, but I disagree with you on one point and say that this rivalry is stronger than ever at the very least in Nashville. There is pure, old fashioned hate for y'all here.

Now, I don't "hate" Red Wing fans, I just strongly, strongly, dislike the team, so thanks for puttin' up with me here.

However, I DO hate Pred Wings. The guys that wear the Pred jerseys to home games and then break out the red wheels when you come to town. D-bags.

I'd say that ship has sort of sailed in Detroit now that Hartnell, Forsberg, and Kariya are gone. Tootoo is probably this board's most hated active player, true, but overall I'd say the Preds draw a big "meh" around here these days.
