Man, Crombeen's got Kocer hands....made out of concrete. Don't know how many here have ever been in that kind of fight before, but to pound someone in the back/side of the head like that - hitting them hard enough to hurt them - kills your fists. Gen-u-ine tough guy, that Crombeen.

edit:spellcheck.

I'm waiting for someone to say "naturally the Wings dominated tonight, Conklin was in net."

I can almost smell it coming. It's almost like there are posters lying in wait, just hoping for their chance to strike.

LOL. Well, it was nice that the wings only needed three goals to win. Wings have a powerhouse offense that have made up for Osgood's current slump. Osgood's win numbers look good, but it's only because our offense can make up for his horrid GAA and save percentage.

I kind of thought Mule didn't get the recognition he deserved last night, but not complaining. It sure was great to see him out there again, and know what a force he is for this team.

We must keep Mule and Hoss!!

*much love for the Hoss, he is the man!!

I wonder if we'll hear anything like that if Nashville scores a third goal.

i haven't read through most of the GDT, but i just thought i'd dig this one out. obviously you couldn't have known at the time that he wouldn't let in another goal, but i think it's worth mentioning that the times people get on ozzie are when he IS letting in 3-5 or six goals a night while not controlling rebounds, etc. conks had one bad deflection (probably COULD have made the save) and a big-time breakaway initiated by a bad line change and compounded by bad defense. again, a great goalie COULD have made the save, but the point is those were his only two (costly) f***ups all night. i would LOVE for osgood to make that many mistakes a night.

Yea. The odd thing about Osgood this year is he seems to be making the big saves but not the little ones. That's talk for a different thread, though.

The thing is, the second goal could be argued as a direct result of Conklin's rebound. Had it been Osgood in net, we'd have had 40 posts arguing whether that was the reason.

Conklin played the shot correctly by redirecting it to where his defenseman should have been able to easily clear it; that's basic goaltending right there. The problem is that his defense allowed the incoming Predator to put it into the back of the net rather than picking it up and clearing it out of the zone like they should have.
