Ken and Mick are very good announcers...but, hands down my favorite two announcers to broadcast hockey games are Gary Thorne and Bill Clement. The enthusiasm, and sincerity they spoke with is unmatched.

It's too bad that since ESPN has decided to revolt against anything hockey, that Thorne is now the Baltimore Orioles baseball announcer for the local affiliate in Baltimore. Dave Strader, Panger, Doc Emerick and John Buccigross also are very close behind. A couple great hockey minds without question.

As for tonight, the Wings bounce back after a couple close games. Doesn't matter who is in net, 4-1 Wings.

Kopecky is many things to Wings fans around here......I wouldn't say lucky is one of them.

To fans no, overall yes. To be that bad, and have so many be better then you, and still play is lucky.

But enough of that.

Damnit I'd love to work for FSD, all the pictures, and history in the dressing room.

I love Ken and Mick, especially Mick. When they were covering a Michigan hockey game last weekend, Micky danced during intermission. On a commentary note, you have to appreciate the fact that they call it as they see it. If it is a bad call they call it, no matter if it is for or against the wings.

I also loved Gary Thorne and Bill Clement. God, they called some classic Wings games on ESPN (playoffs and regular-season). I still remember Gary Thorne going apoplectic when Stevie scored that 2OT goal against the Blues in 1996. Holy s***.

Like they play Kopecky over Malts especially in a game in which one of his best friends is being honored, you would think they would play that game together.

Um, I don't know, because I only started watching hockey last year when we made our run and spent all summer catching up on a life's worth of information, but I disagree with you on one point and say that this rivalry is stronger than ever at the very least in Nashville. There is pure, old fashioned hate for y'all here.

Now, I don't "hate" Red Wing fans, I just strongly, strongly, dislike the team, so thanks for puttin' up with me here.

However, I DO hate Pred Wings. The guys that wear the Pred jerseys to home games and then break out the red wheels when you come to town. D-bags.

Nah, since you just started watching last year, then you werent a fan in 2005/2006 when the Preds and Wings were two of the best teams in the West. THAT was the best year of the rivalry. I think maybe that made Crisp and Pete a little more resentful when talking about the Wings, maybe? I don't know.
