DuckSoup13 0 Report post Posted February 19, 2009 Sweden aint cheap... as a matter of fact it's very very expensive. Hopefully the euro will go to $hit and the dollar will miraculously gain a ton of value between now and then! What a cool trip that would be though.. It would be tough to get tix b/c you know the Swedes will wanna see all their boys on the Wings
StevieBoy 2 Report post Posted February 19, 2009 Looks like tickets start at $65 each but the arena only holds about 13,000...Airfare is only $1000 each...not bad. I just got the verbal OK from my wife so if I can get tickets I think we'll be there.

Esquire 324 Report post Posted February 19, 2009 I propose that our fellow Wings fans in Sweden take it upon themselves to help find accomodations for the rest of us who plan on making the trip across the pond.

It also says the tickets are released (I assume means on sale) Feb 25th. 'Biljettsläpp kl 09:00 den 25 februari. Max 6 biljetter per person och match.' How do you know ticket price? FinRedWing 172 Report post Posted February 19, 2009 It can slow down or stop working comptetely when there's a million people trying to buy tickets at the same time. Even if the site works 100%,I'd prefer that there would be someone standing on line to buy 'em. Those babies will be sold out in 15 minutes,I guarantee it. Guest mindfly Report post Posted February 19, 2009 How are the yellow seats?... i've only been to globen once like 6years ago at the "sweden hockey games" but didn't think about the seats much
SweWings 45 Report post Posted February 19, 2009 (edited) Is anybody thinking about getting the closest, and incidentally the most expensive, seats? I'm really tempted but none of my friends are really hardcore enough fans to pay that much... Edited February 19, 2009 by SweWings

In Finland I ususally use lippupalvelu.fi which belongs to the same tocketmaster group and never had any problems with it. Well, lippupalvelu has recently had huge problems with Metallica,Madonna etc. tickets. Google it,a lot of people were pissed off. Hopefully ticnet works like a charm on the day, looks like it'll be our only chance.

GROwl 5 Report post Posted February 19, 2009 My spouse and I vacationed in Stockholm last summer. What an awesome city! Each time we walked back to our hotel, we could see The Globe off in the distance. What I wouldn't give to go back again this Fall...Red Wings or not... Guess we'll have to go to Detroit instead. Guest mindfly Report post Posted February 19, 2009 (edited) Hurray for dads.. he's gonna buy 6tickets front row.. cya on the flipside or as they say He recommended it cause its far from an NHL-arena so the cheap tickets you get real far away so it might ruin the experience Edited February 19, 2009 by mindfly
