Hey i am all for him getting better and wish him the best (godspeed or something was the first out of my fingers up above actually)... sureWhyNot 19 Report post Posted March 3, 2009 I love Lilja, he is actually one of my top three favorite Wings -- and has been since he got here in Detroit. I don't really know why, it's just something about him I like alot -- it's nice to finally see him getting some love from the fans. That said, I can't imagine he will be out that long -- I mean I have gotten worse concussions by playing mini-sticks in hotel hallways -- heads into walls are inevatable. He was far from knocked out -- he might of been knocked silly, but not a KO. Here are some hockey tilt KO's -- you will see a big difference between them, and the Webber/Lilja tilt: Now those are Knock Outs baby!!! My man with a plan Andreas Lilja is too smart to ever find himself in a situation similar to the guys above. Did he get smacked around? Without a doubt -- Will he be back soon? He didn't really adhere to the code there, he clearly had Lilja dazed and on his knees, this is where most guys would back off, but he kept trying to wail away even after the linesman intervened. Show some class dick, if Lil's cheap shotted somebody or had it coming to him that's one thing, but this was a heat of the moment battle. Great point, you are the first I believe to point out Shea's non adherence to the 'code'. Very true, after Lilja was down with that punch Shea kept pursuing, even stronger. Hopefuly Downy can drop em a few times tonight to make up for a lackluster fighting season so far. I don't usually care about fights in the NHL cause i get my fix in the OHL every week...
