Mors 201 Report post Posted March 16, 2009 You didn't like Kopecky before his injury. I projected him as a potential top-six power forward when he was in the minors. Personally I'm hoping he gets a chance to replace Franzen after Franzen leaves this summer, but I don't know if it will happen. I'm willing to admit when I'm wrong about players. Are you? Heroes of Hockeytown 694 Report post Posted March 16, 2009 I'll drop in to say that since the LA game a few weeks ago Kopecky has been excellent. He's sustained a steady performance as a contributing fourth liner since then. And while he sucked pretty hard for 60 or so games this year, it appears that I completely underestimated the effect that recovering the injury had on him (go figure, I said the same things about Fisch -- we are doomed to repeat ourselves), and was totally wrong about his ability to become an effective player. I'll throw in the disclaimer that he has only been on this roll for a couple weeks now so he's got a ways to go, but if he keeps on playing well I will gladly keep on being wrong. I never stoop to calling people out or using personal insults which is rare on this forum, don't think I can say the same for you. No, more than anything I just dislike the fact that you do almost nothing but complain and that you seem to have a raging entitlement complex when it comes to the Wings. Do I want people to lie to please me? No. Do I want people to try to see other perspectives, including perhaps some that actually appreciate this team that gives us so much? Yes, that would be great. However, apparently you're classifying yourself and others as mindless babies for whom the only truth is what they happen to be feeling and wanting at that particular moment---thanks, that's rich. That said, I don't spend enough time appreciating posters of the mold of Eva, people who actually carefully consider their arguments, support them with facts, and consider varying perspectives.
