fire on ice? i think that was it anyway

No, 'Fire on Ice' was the regular season slogan last year.

The playoff slogan was 'Are You In?'....and the song was 'Just One' by Hoobastank. I liked it actually.
Any day is a good day when the Red Wings win.....

TIME FOR THE PLAYOFF PUSH...LET'S GO BOYS!!

The thing that is reliable as the awesomeness of the Red Wings is the lameness of their marketing bunch.

It'll probably be something like "Take it to the Zone!" With Autozone sponsoring or something ridiculous like that. tongue.gif

I noticed someone did a photoshop already. My favorite time of the year!
Check out my short e-book on the Red Wings' 1937 Stanley Cup championship entitled: "Nothing Could Keep 'Em Down." Please download it from my profile at Smashwords: https://www.smashwor...ile/view/victor

"Mess with the Best and Lose like the Rest" or it could be time that I make a new Facebook bumper Sticker since my last one exploded everywhere:

I am now ready to be a daddy. / *Checks Router* No, I'm positive I didn't hit the "Wings Defense Sucks" button. Electrophile - I'm just glad the Wings were able to win despite the Curse of Brian. ACallToArms - I think Trey needs to put something about payroll tax and deferred income in his sig... Edicius - I'd rather [have] a soundbite of me saying "I like (man sausage)" rather than "I like Crosby".

Ok, that Fish thing is geneous. Now all we have to do is change a few things to fit the Wings...

Put Pavel's face on the fish and have him sing. Seriously. Stay with me here.

Have Hank as the guy eating the sandwich, but have him holding the Cup instead of eating. Hossa is the guy who walks in. Lids is the announcer that talks at the end.

Now change the words...

Give me back that Stanley Cup.
Give me that Cup.
Give me back that Stanley Cup.
Give me that Cup.
Aren't you glad it's you hanging out at the Joe?
Now since it's you playing with Red Wings, you're gonna be lovin' it so*!

(Announcer)
Why not get your own tickets to the NHL Playoffs?
Especially now that they're on sale at the Joe for just (insert price).

*Ties in with McDonald's so they let us use their commercial.

Let's use "Are You In?" again. Why "repeat" a slogan? Obvious answer.

No, no, no, not Pasha...Nick Lidstrom maybe, but not Pasha.

My niece Amy said something once that might apply here. "It never hurts to have two of anything."

Dude, I Want Stanley won us a Cup.

I'm fairly certain that I Want Stanley was the playoff slogan for 1996. I remember in the "rap" version of the song, it mentioned Keith Primeau, who was long gone by the time we won in 1997.

The cup winning slogans?

Get Up! - 1997
Raise Your Hands - 1998
Let 'em See Red - 2002
Are You In? - 2008

I loved A Call to Arms - 1995

“When I was a kid, I wanted to grow up to drink a lot on Christmas and be drunk." - Pavel Datsyuk

Whatever keeps you skating like that, Pavel...

What was the slogan last year... I remember seeing "Where champions are made and championships are played" on street poles in downtown Detroit during the finals.

I like this one too
