BTW Mack Attack, one of the best offensive weapons in the game (Crosby) sure, I will give you that, most complete, meh not yet, lets see him play some PK in a pivotal game. Neither AO nor Crosby are complete players yet, but as with many athletes or their caliber if you can focus and learn other aspects. They will be complete players eventually, but for right now they are just the two most dangerous offensive weapons in the game. And I love me some Hank and Dats, they are better complete players, but you can not deny the talent these two very young kids have. They enjoy exploiting negative attributes of player and dwell on it so they can feel indignant as they hopefully hurt the career of a hell of hockey player. It's pretty obvious that there are a good number of people that just want to hate Crosby because he is shoved down their throats. Which I can understand in a sense, but man the kid is absolutely dominating the league and it just boggles me that so-called hockey fans cannot see that. Btw I'm saying he has been so overvalued by the media, that people aren't logically watching his play. In a sense he has become so overrated, he is now underrated in a lot of fans' minds. I think also because Ovechkin played this whole celebration up because of Don Cherry. Grapes will probably re-iterate that somebody will "Turgeon" him sooner or later.....which I tend to agree with. Well, it's clear he's not underrated, otherwise every single Penguins headline on NHL sites wouldn't mention him. "Crosby-less Pens beat Islanders 1-0 on Sykora goal", etc. However, he's not "dominating the league", as you put it. In fact, he's not even the best player on his own team. I dont remember anyone making a huge deal when Satan scored for BUF and took off his gloveand talked in his hand like it was a cell phone.. BUF was out of the playoffs and there was speculatiuon Satan would be moved by the deadline .. you could actually see him say " call me" lol that was tight. .. but come on dont want him to celebrate? keep him off the scoresheet simple as that .. the Lighting didnt seem to pissed.. he scored in the first and there were 2 periods for "retribution" Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

That celebration was pretty tame for your 50th goal of the season. Plus there's a general feeling that Ovi hams it up a bit to thumb his nose at Grapes and his other critics. Thumbing your nose at media critics is something many NHL players appreciate just a bit. I think that sentiment saves Ovi a bit in the long run. Plus- Ovechkin is far more respected than Turgeon was.
