I'm not sure we have enough time left in the season for Big Rig to grow a beard. Mebbe by 2010-2011 if he starts now. Yeah, he doesn't look like he has good facial hair genes...like lidstrom...maybe if he starts feeding it now, he can have a crosby going in a couple weeks...that's probably all he can grow though... You are not responding to my argument. What I am knocking on is unnecessary retaliation after clean, legal hits. It is stupid. Checking is part of the game. There is no reason to start a fight after a legal hit. You said it was fighting after legal checks was "higher than ever" when, in fact, about thirty years ago, players fought way more than they do now. I am personally a very big fan of fighting and find it very entertaining. They're just sticking up for their teammates who was just decked. Just my opinion. So they fought more, but did they fight more because of legal hits? I'm willing to bet that a response to a good check was another good check, not a fight. Fighting is an integral part of the game, but fighting after a legal hit shows nothing but classlessness. You can't go after a guy for playing hockey. It's just plain stupid.
