4/7 GDT: huge night

The Avs have held the Sharks to just 2 shots through 1.

There have been barely any shots on net both ways. It's been more of skating back and forth and good defense (or just lack of offense).

And the Avs did block alot of shots.

The Blues can take 8th place away from the Predators with a point or a win tonight.

If Wings beat Nashville Thursday, Sharks are likely to play the Blues.

Then the announcer on msg after the ranger montreal game was wrong. He said they were mathematically eliminated.

No, they are mathematically eliminated. Buffalo has 85pts with 2 games to go, therefore, the most they can finish with is 89pts and the Rangers are currently in 8th with 91pts.

They have 3 games to go, they're still eliminated though because the Rangers have more wins

Canucks a couple dozen seconds away from taking back the reigns of the Northwest from the Flames. Gonna be a battle til the last game.

They tie Calgary in points, but the Flames have more wins so they stay on top of the division.

I really hope Calgary loses the division. Should the Red Wings win the first round, I would much prefer the Canucks over the Flames in round two.

Here here.

Not to mention, I'd LOVE to see the Sharks have to play both the Ducks AND the Flames in the first two series.

Vancouver has the easier schedule and the Flames have been in a funk lately, so the ball is in Vancouver's court (well, actually Edmonton's) if they're gonna take advantage of the Flames' defensive problems.
