Guest Shoreline Report post Posted April 8, 2009 I don't mind the shootout but Christ at least give them time to score in OT. Right now so many teams play for the shootout or an extremely exciting OT gets shortened by a rather lame quick shootout. Pavelski scores.
Guest Shoreline Report post Posted April 8, 2009 No Avs makeup. 1-0 Sharks after round 1.

Datsyerberger 279 Report post Posted April 8, 2009 (edited) Wow, all 3 of those shootout attempts absolutely characterized the Avs' entire season. "******* sucked." Edited April 8, 2009 by Datsyerberger
Mike 0 Report post Posted April 8, 2009 (edited) 117 points for the Sharks. They can clinch the conference with 1 more point and the President's with 2. Edited April 8, 2009 by Mike
hmmthesharks 0 Report post Posted April 8, 2009 Sharks won but definitely didn't deserve it, gonna be honest. I'll take the two points though!

That back to back to back losses by the Wings against the Isles, Preds, and Blues were the logical sealer for the Pres trophy for the Sharks. Congrats to them, but as said we'll see how well it does for them in the playoffs. Edited April 8, 2009 by Shoreline
FunkedUp 29 Report post Posted April 8, 2009 If the Sharks get one more point or the wings lose one more game then SJ takes the #1 seed.

I can see losing to the Preds and Blues because they are fighting for their playoff lives, but their was no excuse for the lose to the Isles. Wings sealed their own fate, Sharks capitalized on it. RockyMountainWingGal 108 Report post Posted April 8, 2009 Sharks won but definitely didn't deserve it, gonna be honest. I'll take the two points though! I've never seen a team get bailed out by more PPs when they are in trouble at the end of games or in OT than the Sharks this year. And they couldn't even score on the lowly Avs with 3 wrapped gifts by the Refs there. Avs should have won that game in regulation. Let the Sharks have the Pres trophy - it's sometimes a curse more than an asset in the POs. Everyone will talk about how they are the team to beat - see how they like the pressure - they haven't handled pressure less than that the last several seasons.... hmmthesharks 0 Report post Posted April 8, 2009 What a pathetic showing by the Sharks. I'm calling it now, Sharks are going to choke in the first round!!!! hahaha. Go Wings Not as pathetic as the Wings getting shutout at home against the Isles. Just sayin.
GoWings1905 2,694 Report post Posted April 8, 2009 Actually, in reality, it's pretty damn impressive the Red Wings are even this close to the Sharks. The Sharks play in a very weak division where only one other team might make the playoffs and the Ducks just started playing well recently. The Red Wings play in the Central where four teams will likely make the playoffs and one other will just miss. Not to mention, the Sharks had a killer start to the season while the Red Wings were coming off a championship. I'm not really pointing this out to take away from the Sharks because they have been the best team pretty much all season, but more as a credit to the Red Wings. I don't know any team can beat the Red Wings four times when they show up and play their game. The champs control their own fate.

Only getting two shots on goal in the first period against the Avs is pretty pathetic too, but I sadly have to agree with you.
