Hockeytown0001 7,652 Report post Posted April 18, 2009 Was just about to make this thread myself. I fully expect a bounce back win from Washington today. In order for that to happen, Theodore needs to step it up - he looked especially shaky in Game
Never_Retire_Steve 35 Report post Posted April 18, 2009 In order for that to happen, Theodore needs to step it up - he looked especially shaky in Game 1 Ya, the goaltending was definitely the difference in game 1. Lundqvist was very solid and Theodre was very shaky. I don't think that there will be that much of a polar difference in game 2.
RockyMountainWingGal 108 Report post Posted April 18, 2009 How are the Sharks getting 2 days off? Maybe an extra day to stew on how they blew it in game 1 is good though....
Guest Shoreline Report post Posted April 18, 2009 (edited) How are the Sharks getting 2 days off? Maybe an extra day to stew on how they blew it in game 1 is good though.... Every series has at least one two day break. The Wings have two days off before Game 3 when the series shifts to Columbus. Never_Retire_Steve 35 Report post Posted April 18, 2009 Love how all the media is jumping on the Osgood bandwagon after his wins comments after game 1.
Never_Retire_Steve 35 Report post Posted April 18, 2009 Wow, sounds like the Caps are starting Varlamov today. Chris Drury also sounds like he will be in the lineup.
Guest Shoreline Report post Posted April 18, 2009 Love how all the media is jumping on the Osgood bandwagon after his wins comments after game 1. Doesn't matter what bandwagon the media is on, all that matters is Wings fans are on the Wings (i.e. Ozzie) bandwagon.
Detroit # 1 Fan 2,204 Report post Posted April 18, 2009 Varlamov starts! Theodore is out today, wow.
whitneydatsyukrox 0 Report post Posted April 18, 2009 That's gonna be huge for the Rangers if Drury's in! Offense gets another boost. It'll be interesting for the Caps with Varlamov in... He's had next to no NHL experience. But from the few games he's played, he's been very solid. He'll likely play out of his mind today but I don't know if the Caps' goaltending can carry them through the playoffs, let alone the first round. LET'S GO RANGERS!! henrik40 76 Report post Posted April 18, 2009 Questionable move by Boudreau, I feel by putting Varlamov in he's made this game a must win. If Varlamov plays poorly, what does he do next game?
8 Legged RedWing 367 Report post Posted April 18, 2009 I think its a good choice sitting Jose Three or Four. He is garbage in the playoffs.
