Don't put me on a petalstool and get off your high horse. If you don't think he hadn't looked like s*** for the longest time, then I'm sorry for that. You want to get pissed at me for calling out a player for playing like crap, go ahead, but you better have some basis for singling me out when there were more than just a handfull doing the exact same thing.

thenk yew

One more time. It was the comment you made after Cleary got the goal. That was a spectacular goa and he worked his ass off to get itl. Why then do you have to make the comment, "'Bout time you did something"? That's what I was referring to.

Meanwhile, I'll be more than happy to get off the backs of the newbie Columbus fans if you get off the back of one of your own players who just scored a goal. Deal?

Great to see different lines dominating the games, shows Bab's got the combo's perfect. And the D is playing amazing, Ericcson and Stuart were rock solid tonight!!

Couldn't agree more, I honestly believe that our third pairing of Big E and Lebs would be the 1st pairing for Columbus. When Lils returns we will have mad depth. I think you gotta leave E in and sit Lebs. The Twin Towers Swedish Style will make their debut hopefully soon!

1. Most league revenue EVER (inflation adjusted)

2. Deal with McDonalds a.k.a best advertising deal ever for the NHL

3. NHL has more arena attendance than the NBA (first time ever)(http://www.sportsbusinessdaily.com/article/119006)

4. ESPN REGRETS dumping hockey becuase of the $ Bettman has brought in.

And you were saying?

I personally had no idea. :shocking:

Geeze. Now I have to at least tolerate him?

If I'd told you before the playoffs that Ozzie would give up two goals in three games, while we'd score four goals in each game...would you have called me crazy?

Hell, even I might have suggested that you lay off the hard stuff til this series at least was over. ^_^

I would love to see that pairing.

To be fair, I think the refs did a pretty good job. They let the players know, right from the beginning, that there would be no cheap shots after the whistle.

They let the opponent get away with the regular s***, sure, but I didn't jump from my chair screaming once during the whole game.

Great game Oz!

And there were one or two times they coulda called the Wings too.

What'd he say? Thanks.

He looked really happy and was laughing and said like well that is a pretty good deal for Arby's. They didnt have to give out a single sandwich all year. He was basically laughing at the fact that the Wings have not gotten a hat trick.

Nice job on the road by the Wings.

I have to remark that I have watched a lot of playoff hockey, and can't remember when I saw a team as lifeless and consigned to their fate as the Blue Jackets looked tonight. Maybe they are saving it for Game 4, but the Wings did a great job of shutting them down and shutting the Columbus fans up all night.

Wow, this series is impressive. I really hope the Wings can keep thsi up. Best team in the playoffs right now, by far. Ozzie is amazing. It really sucks that I haven't seen a single game yet. I've never missed an entire round (or, with my luck, the entire run) in my life and it's really weird to be so...distant from it.

Disagree....I was thinking to myself during the game, there's a big difference between this series and the Dallas series last year (you know, in case anyone is worried about going up 3-0.) Dallas looked flat, bored, and disinterested in the first three games, but they had a switch to flip. Columbus's problem isn't that they're unmotivated and lifeless, it's that they suck.

Or that Dallas knew where the switch was, and Columbus doesn't?

I guess I was expecting a lot more fight out of the Jackets tonight, and didn't see it.

maybe the jackets just realize that simply aren't good enough - not that im trying to sound like a jerk but they have absolutely nothing to show for the first three games in this series... they've scored 2 goals in 3 games. enough said.

My comments

1. Columbus just saw an example why the playoffs are a lot different than the regular season.

2. If they weren't playing at home Commodore wouldn't have been so quick to try for revenge on Stuarts hit on Umberger. Instead Commodore played the next shift looking for revenge instead of playing defense, thus costing his team a goal and any chance of coming back in the series.

3. Stuarts hit... Legal, I saw it, the BJ's radio guys said it, the BJ's newspaper recap said it. Ironically, the two times that Umberger was blasted and knocked on his ass in a playoff game. Both times his head coach was Ken Hitchcock.

4. BJ fans seem to think that because Hitchcock has won a Stanley Cup, they think he's a great coach. Believe me, I knew him when he was coaching in the old IHL for the Kalamazoo Wings. Hitch's Cup win was 1999, 10 years ago. The game has changed a lot since then. This is the "new" NHL and I think that the game has passed by Hitchcock.

5. Before game 3, Hitchcock said that he expects to feed off of the energy of the home stands. That might work in some cases, but against one of the best road teams in the NHL over the past decades. A team that won two games in Pittsburgh in the finals, which was a bit more hostile to the road teams than Columbus will ever be. Hitchcock outta know that teams like Detroit really aren't rattled like he would think they would be. A younger team might be rattled, but an experienced team like Detroit it won't happen. Plus when all is said and done, it's still the players on the ice that determine the outcome, not how much the crowd screams and yells.

6. Funny thing about game 3, The BJ's won the majority of the draws, and yet for all of Hitchcock's crying, bitching and moaning about the Wings "Cheating," The Wings still won the game and it wan't because of the faceoffs.

7. The Wings played the perfect road game. Lead early, and get the crowd out of it. (Done). Score again when the home team gets a little momentum (Done). Take advantage of the BJ's mistakes (see Commodore being stupid trying to excite the home crowd... Done). Smother whatever life they have left late in the game. (Almost Done, BS PP to the BJ's).

8. Hitchcock will pull out all of the stops before game 4, he will be yapping and crying to the press, they'll accuse the wings of 8-million illegal things they did in game 3 which allowed them to win. He'll say that Osgood hasn't been tested. He'll say that "we just didn't convert on our chances." Mark my words, the papers and the media tomorrow will be filled with Hitchcock trying to buy a chance.

Just my random thoughts
