Really I think the greatest thing about this series is just how dominant the Wings truly were as a whole. I mean Columbus lead us in goals the EXACT amount of time I've spent having a four-some with Scarlet Johansson, Kristen Bell, and Jessica Alba. That is very impressive indeed.

I think they mentioned on Vs. a few minutes ago that it's the first time since 2000 that a team hasn't trailed in an entire series. Apologies if I got that stat wrong, I was only half paying attention.

Uh yeah, I've posted her for two years, so I'm clearly a "troll". I laugh to myself about all the people that flip-flop with every game, Osgood's awesome, omg Hall of Fame! to Osgood needs to be traded...wahwah. You know Chris is an okay goalie, he's won a pair of Cups so obviously he's no Jamie McLennan. I just don't understand why people whitewash a game that the Wings were gasping to win because of Osgood's typical melted cheese game, just because the Wings WON it's all OK. I can only imagine the posts had the Wings ended up losing 6-5. "Oh, Osgood, oh boy, we're in trouble..." It takes effort to post on a message board, I just wonder what people are looking to accomplish with this constant flipflopping, I can't imagine how the Wings are gonna do next round, for the record I predicted a Columbus series win IF Steve Mason delivered which he didn't, check my posting history, there're plenty of qualifications. Not a troll, listen to me, listen to me all night because I'll tell you how it's gonna end, Vancouver over Pittsburgh, the end.

Fans do this of every team of every sport. Kind of a meaningless post. Players play good, they love them. They play bad, they hate them. Vancouver over Pittsburgh? Possible I guess. But I doubt it.

ozzy played a great game even with his "injury" wings need to step it up 3rd period, which they did. to help out ozzy. good blocked shots.

the penalty was a good/fair call, just not at the best time for columbus. but thats how the cookie crumblies. good series. now lets move on!!

Him: "Nice to see the Wings blow so many leads."

Me: "Correct me if I'm wrong, but the Jackets still haven't led in this series."

(CBJ gets called for too many men)

Him: "I can't see how that gets called there they were letting them play."

Me: "Yeah, lets not call the obvious penalties. No more delay of game either! Woo!"

Him: "Its a judgement call, and you can't make it there."

Me: "No it isnt. The guy came off the bench and played the puck before the guy leaving the ice got off. Penalty."

Oh God... What if that last minute call happened to the Wings? I'd be so pissed, but I'd probably demand a trade for whoever was dumb enough to touch the puck in that situation. I'm not sure who is likely to do that though.

Somebody made the point here that Homer may have helped that situation immensely by passing to the idiot standing there. The one who'd just come on the ice.

Which reminds me that Hudler sure as hell did his part on that last goal by playing decoy to Franzenstein. That was an excellent point made by Mick.

Haha, I jumped up and hugged my buddy next to me (he was not anticipating that ). Mad prpps goes to little Hudler though; there were a lot of awfully big men in that crease and he went there with no fear and made the play.

Winning is winning, so it's all good on that front. The Wings gave me a helluva game and a W for mah B-day so I won't argue with that.

I am obviously pretty concerned with Ozzie though. He was hurting and it showed in his performance, we need him to be good to go.

Finally, ******* Brett Lebda. Let me ******* tell you how mad I was at him for making that goddamned idiotic play that led to the Russel goal. The instant I saw him pinching down I face palmed, because there was no way he could have possibly made it to the puck before not one, but two rushing Blue Jackets. Worse, it was a 4th line shift, it's not even a big deal, get those guys off the ice. Terrible decision by Lebda and I guarantee that surge led to the Modin goal.

I swear I hadn't read this post when I mentioned Hudler a little later here.

Wow this is interesting. www.nhl.com in the upper right, the situation room thing is justifying the penalty call. So any BJ fans still whining about it, read it at the source and stfu. But hey, all is not lost for the BJ's, I mean they still have that 8-0 win over us or whatever it was. Enjoy that.....all summer.

but anyway... good series guys and i just want you all to know that trash talking you hear from jackets fans are not from us as a whole. it was a good series and it just ended a little bitter for us. The penalty was a penalty. just a rough time for it to be called.

He was grimacing at the end of the 2nd period but Ken & Mick said he looked fine warming up for the 3rd. Babcock said in the post game interview that Osgood was 100% healthy. He's probably lying but I believe if there was risk of furthering the injury Conklin would've came in.

Ozzie pulled something in Game 3 and didn't practice earlier today; they called up someone from the minors for that. He was wincing a lot and favoring his leg, even needing the post to help himself stand.

And yeah, they commented on it quite a bit in the 2nd.

Ken and Mickey noticed it and showed some replays of Ozzie struggling to stand up after saves and he was wincing pretty bad in the second period.
