They escaped the puck over the glass penalty too. Sucks for a team when you play disciplined and still get calls and get beat.

Oh I forgot: also the CLS announcers kept saying how the Jackets didn't deserve for it to end like that. That was kind of a common theme too. Which is funny because if you don't hustle yourself off the ice or pay attention to how many you've got out there, you definitely deserve to be on the penalty kill.

Haha, I jumped up and hugged my buddy next to me (he was not anticipating that ). Mad prpps goes to little Hudler though; there were a lot of awfully big men in that crease and he went there with no fear and made the play.

Winning is winning, so it's all good on that front. The Wings gave me a helluva game and a W for mah B-day so I won't argue with that.

I am obviously pretty concerned with Ozzie though. He was hurting and it showed in his performance, we need him to be good to go.

Finally, ******* Brett Lebda. Let me ******* tell you how mad I was at him for making that goddamned idiotic play that led to the Russel goal. The instant I saw him pinching down I face palmed, because there was no way he could have possibly made it to the puck before not one, but two rushing Blue Jackets. Worse, it was a 4th line shift, it's not even a big deal, get those guys off the ice. Terrible decision by Lebda and I guarantee that surge led to the Modin goal.

I was actually also thinking the same thing as I typed. Finally deciding in Game 4 that more than one player should score a goal isn't a winning formula.

I can't think of any reason the Jackets didn't deserve to get swept. The Wings got a couple fortuitous bounces but they were all from playing Wings hockey: shooting and crashing the net.

I laugh to myself about all the people that flip-flop with every game, Osgood's awesome, omg Hall of Fame! to Osgood needs to be traded...wahwah. You know Chris is an okay goalie, he's won a pair of Cups so obviously he's no Jamie McLennan. I just don't understand why people whitewash a game that the Wings were gasping to win because of Osgood's typical melted cheese game, just because the Wings WON it's all OK. I can only imagine the posts had the Wings ended up losing 6-5. "Oh, Osgood, oh boy, we're in trouble..." It takes effort to post on a message board, I just wonder what people are looking to accomplish with this constant flipflopping, I can't imagine how the Wings are gonna do next round, for the record I predicted a Columbus series win IF Steve Mason delivered which he didn't, check my posting history, there're plenty of qualifications. CBJ announcers and fans (making an assumption based on the bottles thrown on the ice) say that the two many men was a BS call?

1. It's a simple addition problem. If you can't count to a number greater than 5 then go back to your trailer, boil up some mac and cheese and crack open a busch light.

2. If the refs don't call it then it screws the wings over. We now know the outcome after making the call (the correct call) but if they don't make it and Columbus wins the game then the refs just handed a playoff game to a team by not making the call.

Point is... the players and coach are responsible for keeping track of these things. All the ref has to do is simple math and call a penalty when the number of men on the ice exceeds five.
