EuroTwin 240 Report post Posted April 26, 2009 That's pretty cool. Marleau gave his stick to some cute little kid. I need to find me one of those so hockey players will give them cool stuff .
McCartyFanForLife 17 Report post Posted April 26, 2009 lol. well, it's a bit disappointing when you tune in for a train wreck and don't quite get it, but it's better for the Wings to have this series go as deep as possible, regardless who wins. That only makes sense if the Ducks win. If the series goes 7 and the Sharks win, the Wings have to play a rested 'Nucks team.

It'll only be good for the Wings if series goes deep and the Ducks win. Otherwise we'll be facing the Nucks and they'll be even more rested then our Wings. I think that the Ducks will clinch on their home ice. The Sharks are now on borrowed time.

titanium2 867 Report post Posted April 26, 2009 (edited) Hey SupaFly, how's it hanging on your end? I didn't see the goal but I can't wait to see the replays. Did Hiller really put it into his own net? How's that confidence going? Edited April 26, 2009 by titanium2

HAHA, make sure it's a cousin you don't really like so after you've taken the stick away from him/her, it won't matter
titanium2 867 Report post Posted April 26, 2009 (edited) Some little parasite sucking on my life force for nine months? God I hope that's a euphemism. That's what babysitting a kid of your friend's is for. When it's time to end your life, that's when you know to have kids. But if the Wings play the Ducks in the next round, it's to their benefit to have this series go as long as possible. Same thing if the Sharks somehow pull this off and the Wings meet them in the WCF. EuroTwin 240 Report post Posted April 26, 2009 HAHA, make sure it's a cousin you don't really like so after you've taken the stick away from him/her, it won't matter I'll remember that. Or a really young one who won't know what's going on. That's what babysitting a kid of your friend's is for. When it's time to end your life, that's when you know to have kids. Niiice. That's a pretty good plan, actually. Friend will get a night off, I will look good for friend and the munchkin will get a free gift that I will then steal with none the wiser. FunkedUp 29 Report post Posted April 26, 2009 (edited) I was at work duing the ducks game.. I heard hiller knocked it in. How bad was it? It kind of reminded me of Fluery knocking the puck in on himself in the Finals last year, but it was a bit different. The puck barely even crossed the goal line. Tough break for Hiller, but I am more than happy to see this series drag on longer. Edited April 26, 2009 by FunkedUp
Heroes of Hockeytown 694 Report post Posted April 26, 2009 I hella fell asleep during the second intermission, so everyone missed all the nasty things I would have said about the Sharks after the Ducks tied it in two seconds. I was at work duing the ducks game.. I heard hiller knocked it in. How bad was it? The puck was under his pad and Marleau was jamming away at it, he probably would have knocked it in if Hiller hadn't done anything, but he tried to do something and it ticked off his skate and trickled in. Yeah, I kept praying the goal would be waved off, which is why I texted you back and said "It's being reviewed!!" But alas, no. My heart was broken yet again. My heart was broken yet again. Hah, there was a group of Sharks fans at the party, made sure to wear the Lids winter classic jersey, and shout "GO RED WINGS" a bunch of times. TheSupafly 50 Report post Posted April 26, 2009 Hey SupaFly, how's it hanging on your end? I didn't see the goal but I can't wait to see the replays. Did Hiller really put it into his own net? How's that confidence going? Confidence is hesitant. I wouldn't ever say I'm confident...hard to as a Sharks fan in the playoffs. I'd say I went from cautiously optimistic, to very optimistic. In my mind all they need to do is steal a game in Anaheim tomorrow. They've won one there already this series, and had success there all season. If they can manage that, they'll get game 7 at home, and it might be the super-homer in me but I would be very confident going into that game. From my seat at the tank it was hard to see how the goal went in. Now that I've seen some replays, it looks like a little of both....Marleau whacking away and Hiller moving around...both probably had a role in the puck trickling over the line. I went completely bonkers when I saw the ref point at the puck in the net...just like the other 17,495 people there....we've been waiting for something to go crazy about for the entire postseason so far. I'm headed to Anaheim tonight and I'll be at the game in southern cali tomorrow. I'll report in afterwards if I can.
