Game 1 Rust?

You could see it in the passing - everything was just a bit mis-timed....

I couldn't count the amount of passes that were about a foot to far ahead of the guy, and how many pucks went from side to side of the Ana zone within 10 feet of the net with no one to punch it home.

The boys were a touch off, good thing Mule and Lids were on, that and very good team D.

I agree, fortunately we won the game. I personally was really really surprised that we had as many SOG as we did. Poor passing and no real good presence to the net in 5/5 play. We looked like we had lost a step from the 1st round and I don't think it was b/c of the opponent. The Jackets came harder at us the Ducks did tonight.

I'm wondering if we will stay healthy in this run  .

I'm happy for the win, no doubt.

It's just that after the game I felt kind of like Anaheim lost more so than Detroit won. It was kind of like after Game 1 of the 1997 Conference Finals where Detroit played better but Roy stole the game. The reason this concerns me is because we all know what happened afterwards. The Avs luck ran out and the Wings took over. Hopefully it's not like that but it's still concerning.

Oh and you know how in the 4-1 win against CBJ in Game 1 or pretty much any of the games, Babs sometimes says, "If they score first, maybe the game's a little different." Well last night was certainly different. Good thing they still won.
