yzefan 2 Report post Posted May 2, 2009 Anyone else notice that for 75 percent of the game hossa only had one hand on the stick. He would try and drag a puck thru a guy or make a move and only hold it with one hand.. is there something wrong with the other hand or whats up with that ??? Jersey Wing 1,521 Report post Posted May 2, 2009 Very interesting observation. I didn't notice that but he didn't seem like his assertive self at points. You may be on to something

David 2 Report post Posted May 2, 2009 He's used one hand on the stick all year... Exactly. He does this very often, especially when carrying the puck behind the net and coming to the front with it. Where's this observationist been all year?
Statts 4 Report post Posted May 2, 2009 I think its just to protect the puck and fend off the opponent. That takes some serious strength to do. Hossa is pretty good at the hockey.
yzefan 2 Report post Posted May 2, 2009 Where's this observationist been all year? Unfortunetly i have been been in hospital and have not been able to watch many games..J/K .. it just really irritated me tonight thats all..
digitaljohn88 4 Report post Posted May 2, 2009 I was at the game... a bit drunk now but I remember Hossa blocking a shot that LOOKED like it hit him in the hand, and I remember watching to see if his hand was hurt for the rest of the play. Not really sure though TBH.
TheOwl 77 Report post Posted May 2, 2009 It's amazing how the Wings top line can have fewer points then the second and third, and still remain 5-0 in the playoffs. The Z-Mule-Cleary line is on fire. Imagine when Dats, Hossa and Homer start getting going.

wingslionstigers 12 Report post Posted May 2, 2009 Yeah dude its pretty much the best way to protect the puck especially when you have the size and strength. I'll take this as you never played hockey before.
VM1138 1,921 Report post Posted May 2, 2009 Exactly. He does this very often, especially when carrying the puck behind the net and coming to the front with it. Where's this observationist been all year? It's kind of his trademark. His wrists must be made of steel, because he's always used one hand to force the puck through tough areas. I don't think he's capable of stickhandling with two hands.
