steveyzerman 0 Report post Posted May 8, 2009 (edited) Listen here, motherf***ers. This is my last hoorah. Ban me. Suspend me. Whatever. Maybe, the site just needs a filter that can be turned on & off at the users choice; if they want to hear four letters words or not. But you "Stanley Cup Champion" Duck ******* were just made a fool of by your own player. Who's whining now, eh? "Ow. Holmstrom elbowed me." SHUT THE f*** UP. Taking that goal away hurt a hell of a lot worse than that elbow. & yeah, we complained a bit, but now we're moving on & we are going to f*** you up. I'm completely fed up with the NHL. Gary, you *****, you ruined my childhood. & this isn't only about the goal that was called back. It's the fact that I sat there & expected it. I couldn't get excited right away because, so many times in the past, it's been called back. I ******* expected that bulls*** & that shouldn't be the case. & the penalties. What. The. f***. I don't know about anybody else, but all I ask for is consistancy. If you want to call a penalty everytime a stick taps somebody on the shoulder, fine. But ******* call it EVERY TIME. & if you want to let them play, let them play. But don't change your goddamned mind in the middle of a game. I don't know how these players do it. If I were on the ice, I'd two hand those ******* zebras in the mouth repeatedly. I would not stop & someone would have to pull me off. You're making reputation calls & that s***'s too NBA. I want accountability. If someone makes a bad call, & I mean a REALLY bad call, you don't have to back them. They're big boys. They can handle it. & you don't have to fire the man, but tell him he f***ed up. That's the only way they'll learn. A simple apology will go a long way in the hearts of many, you ******* pricks. Die in a fire. You refs are deciding the games & it's bulls***. You've ruined hockey completely. I hate you. Edited May 8, 2009 by steveyzerman
NHLrules? 32 Report post Posted May 8, 2009 Well how would you like being elbowed in the face. Id probably call the guy a mean son of a *****. Not exactly gutless. Gutless would be running a guy from behind with your stick and elbows up. No duck player would ever know anything about that though.
Doc Holiday 0 Report post Posted May 8, 2009 Homer is not dirty. That was not a dirty play. Homer did hit Wiz in the face. Homer was not looking to make a cheap shot on Wiz. Wiz is acting like a complete douchebag by calling him on in the media just because he was injured and the players around him kept playing hockey (in hockey people are going to run into you and body parts will hit you in the head on occasion). Here's a tip Wiz: if you don't want to be treated like a hockey player then fall down and get the play blown dead. Any refutations?
mjlegend 155 Report post Posted May 8, 2009 That was a top-10, hall of fame rant, Mr. Yzerman. I salute you. Of all the things that happened that game, Wizz-in-my-pants-newski and the Ducks are picking that? Slow news day in Duck land.

#19forPresident! 1 Report post Posted May 8, 2009 I'm still wondering why he needed to get stretchered off. I've watched someone play football with a punctured lung. He couldn't at least skate off with help? Stretchers are not very rock 'n roll. Well it's a bit different when you're talking about a multi million dollar asset. Once Wisnewski went down and didn't come back up immediately I think the team opted to protect that investment rather than let him get up and skate away. I see where you're coming from, but having friends with a background in trauma medicine, the other thing to consider also is that every injury, no matter how similar, can produce very different results. Where one guy walks out of the hospital with no ill effects, another with a very similar injury might die, it just depends how an individual's body reacts, and how lucky / unlucky they are. That aside, his remarks were unwarranted, I watched that video 5 or 6 times and couldn't spot an elbow by Holmer. Not to mention the fact, like others have mentioned Wisnewski is kind of throwing rocks from a glass house saying stuff like that.
puckloo39 5,686 Report post Posted May 8, 2009 In general, I've found that if Anaheim doesn't have something legitimate to whine about, they will find something and make a big deal of it. Shut it, Wizzy-poo. I doubt seriously that Tomas Holmstrom is losing a minute's sleep over your pronouncement that he's gutless. He's so far from that, you just look stupid(er) saying it to the press. I hope he hits you harder next time.
