He only knew how to make meat loaf and pancakes. And we always had to guess the "secret ingredient" which could be anything- and usually was. Borrow gas money or pay the light bill late? Not because I am a saint, I simply have no control over sweet things, so I avoid them. drive off without paying for gas or stiff a waiter and leave without paying (worse offense, IYO).
