Theophany 110 Report post Posted May 10, 2009 Wonder what he'd do if Homer skated over to the penalty box right before the game with a cooler, a boom box and a copy of War and Peace? Someone ring up Homer and have him do it.

Zetterling 16 Report post Posted May 10, 2009 ^Oh the bureaucracy! Wings have somewhat of a precedent after that called off goal in game 3 though.
Electrophile 3,554 Report post Posted May 10, 2009 I'm hoping the Wings come out strong real early, maybe take a 3-goal lead by intermission. That way any crap he pulls won't be the difference between winning in 6 and winning in 7.

MidMichSteve 1,115 Report post Posted May 10, 2009 This is a cause for concern but he did call a decent game against the jackets! That is my opinion anyways. Here's hoping! I was going to post the same thing. That, as I recall, was one of the best called games of the series. I hate the calls Dastardly Dan has made in the past as much as anyone here. But I was very pleased with the Columbus game he called. With any (a lot) luck we will survive him this time too.

That was Game 4 right? The more I think about it, the more I understand Columbus' perspective on that too many men call. Yes, Modin shouldn't have been stupid enough to touch the puck. Yes, the call was textbook. But they decided to throw away the whistles for every other textbook call. How is a guy who's a few feet too early from the bench deserving of a call more so than Kronwall's hit from behind? It's understandable why they were so pissed off. IMO, the Wings got a break, but it wasn't nearly as bad as that waived off goal in Game 3 against ANA. Edited May 10, 2009 by titanium2
b.shanafan14 733 Report post Posted May 10, 2009 f***in' O'Halloran... someone needs to show him there is nothing in the NHL rule book that says all goals with Tomas Holmstrom on the ice are washed and then penalized.
LIDDYGIBBY5 1 Report post Posted May 10, 2009 Just one more reason why, if I see Bettman on the street, I'm pushing him into traffic, for the good of all mankind. Go for it, I'll swear that you were with me!
