The refs are essentially doing nothing but playing it even stevens. What Kronwall did was no worse then what the Ducks D have been doing, just so happened Wings had +1 PPs at the moment.

It's so ***** lame. The Ducks do not play as cleanly as the Detroit Red Wings. There is no way in HELL that at the end of a game in Detroit, the Ducks should have as many power play opportunities as the Wings. BOTH penalties they've called on the Wings are a JOKE. ***** Bullsh!t calls to even up the calls. That's BAD officiating. Call the ***** game how it's supposed to be called. I'm sick of seeing the Ducks stumble around 5 on 5 with no shots and then the Refs calling a bad penalty on the Wings and opening the door for the Ducks. That's bullsh!t. The Red Wings are DOMINATING this game, and the only thing keeping the Ducks in it are THE ***** OFFICIALS. That's such a load of crap.

penalty calls seem fine to me. ducks got away with a couple dives (bobby, don't lay on the ice and then get up and skate to the bench when the whistle blows), but the penalties that were called weren't glaringly bad calls

I know, it's not like I want to lose. However, we're winning.....aside from the last part of the 2nd period, we've been completely crushing them. So what they scored a goal? It's hard to shut a team like this out. As long as the number by our name is bigger than the number by their name, I don't care what the final score is or how we get that final score.

I mean, Jesus, it's a close series between two very talented, accomplished teams. We're up a goal headed into the third-period of Game 5. Yeah, sure, I feel good about things. I'd rather we hadn't given up that goal, but we weren't going to hold them down like that the entire game. I think some of you just need to enjoy the process more, enjoy the ups-and-downs.

The guys played their asses off for 30 minutes and were decent for the last 10. The Ducks can turn it on, too, and we saw a little bit of that. Now it's just up to the Wings to control play for 20 more minutes and we'll have two games to close this thing out.

Effort is for 4th liners. For top line players, it's scoring that counts.

You're right. Top line needs to produce better chances than they have so far. Doesn't really matter how good it looks if the puck stay out of the net.
