What Should Babcock Do With Hossa?

Seems Hossa isn't showing much intensity and is just along for the ride. What should Babcock do to get him on track to score/play even half a good as last post season?

A fourth line consisting of Leino - Helm - Hossa would be hilarious and I'd actually want to see that

Zetterberg - Fippula - Homer

Franzen - Datsyuk - Cleary

Hudler - Draper - Samuelsson

Leino - Helm - Hossa

Well... seeing that for one game he put him on another line and he scored twice might just be a very subtle hint. However, now that he has been struggling with a useless Homer who is just not equipped to play with two skill guys in this kind of playoff hockey it just might be too darn late. He may be damaged goods as may also Datsyuk. Sorry, but I cannot accept that these two have not been shuffled a revolving door of line mates to see what might click. Babcock is the one to look at here. Come on, if your best player doesn't show up, then maybe it is him. If the two best don't... check that, how about your three best players one of whom won the god damn Conn Smythe last year... It has to be coaching. Maybe not all, maybe not more then 50%, but it has to be a problem.

I don't really care what he does with him, as long as he doesn't petition to have him re-signed next year. When you sign a guy to a deal specifically so he can win a cup, you expect more in the playoffs. Dallas Drake was replaceable in the regular season last year, yet he brought his game to the next level in the playoffs. Hossa hasn't done anything close.

Oh, but he backchecks, so lets forgive him for everything.

All I know is, this guy has more incentive than everyone on this roster to be performing well. He of all people should be dominating, yet hes being outplayed by about 15 other guys on this roster right now.

Here are my ideal lines

McCarty-Helm-Downey

Maltby-Draper-Leino

Holmstrom-Abdelkader-Samuelsson

Hossa by himself to punish him

Kindl-Ericsson

Chelios-Lebda

Stuart-Chelios

The rest of them can all sit

To be fair, Hossa's job is much harder than Drake's.

I like the first line.

I'm sold.

And Hossa has the much better skillset and tools to work with. We're asking a sniper to score goals. I hope it wouldn't be too much to ask a cow to give me some ******* milk.

And just to clarify, I wouldn't be so pissed at Hossa if he'd signed here without any expectations. But the guy made a big huff out of signing with the Wings to win the cup. He signed with this team for the post-season. He himself set the expectations, and hes failing miserably at meeting them.

I do. in modern society it has come to mean "stupid/lame/depressing/unfortunate". it's slang. after all, the true grassroots definition of *** is: "carefree", "happy", or "bright and showy", not homosexual. get over it. I have plenty of *** friends and none of them take offense to it. If i meant that someone was a homosexual and used to be offensive, that's one thing. But i don't. and i dont think many people in general do either.

but i digress. hossa is in a slump. it happens. best believe when we see his old team in the final, he's going to be on fire. he didn't sign with the wings and leave pitt to lose to them in the finals. i know that much.

Fixed.

No message needs to be sent. He knows how horrible he's been doing.

If we sit hossa we should sit datsyuk.

x2.

So being *** is a misfortune and a disability?
