Wings Hotel in Chicago

Not an X-Files fan?

I was making fun of the poster who thought the original poster was a Hawks fan and was going to "do something" if he found out where the Wings were staying... Hence the text "conspiracy theory."

oh.. I guess I just thought you meant to say something to the conspiracy theorists... I thought there was more coming after that statment is all and I was confused.

Thanks for the info guys.

Again, I'm not intending to stalk them. I'm not 12 anymore and respect their off time if they're eating or whatever. I just thought it would be cool to meet them in a different environment and who knows, maybe they like the thoughts that there is plenty of Wings fan here in Chicago.

Anyway, go wings.

good luck with the autographs... we met the guys when they were in Denver this past season and most of them are nice as can be. We got Zetterberg, Franzen, Homer, Datsyuk and Hossa... just to name a few. No Lidstrom though :(

Hi everyone,

Does anyone know where the Wings are staying in Chicago. I know it's a hotel downtown but don't know which one.

Thanks for any info!

Go WINGS

Simple. Drive around until you see a hotel with Redbird 1 parked in the lot.

You're welcome.

Actually, it does involve me since, I, like everyone else here is a member of these forums. It is very easy for someone who is not in the players shoes to say, "Sure, here is where they are staying and eating and hanging out. I'm sure they would love to be pestered every 5 seconds to sign this, shake that, and take a picture with their Grandma." The players are people too. There is a time and a place. I agree that at the venue and at practices are great times to do this. They are at work. It is what they do. Outside of there is where the disrespect begins. They are not at work. It is no different than the paparazzi. Do you want to work 24/7? I know I do not.

No, but I'm willing to change that stance for the low low price of 6.7 million dollars a year. Act now, this is a limited offer.*

*Offer not valid in Quebec. Void where prohibited. Offer may be canceled at any time at discretion of offerer.

To the OP... the people trying to make you feel guilty for trying to hook up with the Wings during the playoffs are dopes. Good luck.

Yeah, if you're a hottie go for it. I'm sure some of the players would appreciate it!

They meet at the Blue Oyster Bar downtown Chicago after the game. Maybe you can catch them there. Tell em Mahony sent you.

Make sure you wear your Sailor Costume!! And if someone ask you to Tango...Don't!

I couldn't agree with you more they are great guys off the ice, I am a security officer at a hotel in Michigan where the Wings stay during their home games. I've had the pleasure in meeting most of the them. Aaron Downey is one of my favorites to talk to.

lol even if he was a Hawks fan who cares? It's not like he's going to kill one of the Red Wings. Actually if he's a Hawks fan he might. Move along..

It's not that he's going to kill a player, it's the fact that a couple years ago, I believe it was in Calgary, someone pulled a fire alarm in the middle of the night at the Wings hotel.

Not that I'm saying the OP is going to try that, but I think that's where the conspiracy theories are coming from ;)

You should wear a cloak and change your username to "The Guardian."

Yeah, we were fortunate enough to meet Downey as well during their last trip to Denver.... for the most part I think hockey guys are pretty laid back. I've met a good portion of the Avs and they're a great bunch too. Hockey players are the best when it comes to fan appreciation. :)

Well, I looked for a way to change my name but couldn't figure it out. So just a cloak then. :)
