Please have items on the curb by 9:00 am." What! You have garbage pick up? You should be grateful! When I was a kid we had to drag it 6 miles to the dump. When I was a kid, we burned it in a barrel in the back yard. As did everyone. That which couldn't be burned went to the dump, which was always a festive family outing.
