I cant see why not. Is it right? No, that's sick. But your dream growing up is winning the Cup, and if your this close and you can throw off one of their players and get his mind off hockey, you do it. I've said nasty things to win games/championships etc. I cant imagine how nasty it gets in the Finals. One dirty thing I remember in the last couple Finals would be Erik Cole returning from a broken neck, and he goes into the corner with Jason Smith, turns to throw it to the point and Smith hammers him into the boards from behind. It isnt the verbal dirt, but it could've seriously hurt Cole, and he knew it.

You're talking apples and oranges with that....not to mention hypotheticals but, if you want me to get in to it... if a players family member dies... and he decides to keep playing I guess he's kind of accepting that something like that might happen. Is it cool? Hell no and more than likely the majority of opponents would refrain from using something like personal tragedy to get under someones skin but, I'm pretty sure there's more than one or two guys in this league that just might sink to that level. Again, I'm not condoning it. I'm just saying cheap shots are going to happen. Scumbaggery occurs and sometimes, in pressure situations where the stakes and emotions are high, people are likley do and say things that they wouldn't necessarily do to the average person on the street. Is all I'm sayin'.

Exactly, and jeezus what the hell is up with the hard on for "class" in the heat of competition? There will be time for class and dignity and honor when the series is over. Until then, there is a reason the saying "all's fair in love and war" exists. This isn't golf people. It's the Stanley Cup Finals. It isn't the most difficult competition to win because the gentlemen on the ice are so dignified and gentile. You do what you have to do to win and if that weakens your stomach, maybe hockey really isn't the game for you.

There's a difference between being competitive and being cheap. I want the guys to be competitive. Hard, legal hits......great checking.......that kind of stuff. If we have to play like goons to win, we don't deserve to win. I'm sure that sentiment won't go over well with people, but it's how I feel. I like that our team can play hard and gritty but still retain respectability at the same time.

I'm not gonna get into a pissing match with you regarding my feelings toward certain members of this site. If you haven't witnessed my tone with mindfly during any of our debates then you aren't paying attention.

There's plenty of borderline comments and posts that go without punishment....some members more than others push that number. We can't see them all, and we try to be as fair. God forbid we don't please everyone 100% at all times.

I have been around and around with so many mods( in pm, on threads) about this exact topic that it is no longer worth my time, all of you have the same answer we try to be fair.

Really, well why then is Mindfly still posting yet others have been suspended for far less, and if I or some one else where retort to him in a post we would be suspended, and maybe him but only because some one went at him. If no one responds to his trolling, he continues to troll.

Again not worth my time, but when you say

Do you know what I really hear:

He had black pants on and the puck was black, thus making it hard to see, if the refs had super slowmotion I am sure they would do a better job!

Lets not pretend this is all being done with any form of consistency at all, this is like the NHL referring, consistently inconsistent.

well to work both sides....i have seen you work mindfly but i have also seen mindfly get away with a little more then some have...but i don't care. if you don't like his posts then all peopl eneed to do is x him out. its great.

i see mindfly more like the monkey in a gage. he's fun to look,throw food at and even laugh when he drinks his own pee.......not saying you do mindfly=) just saying thats all.

No one is trying to be inconsistent. You don't know what all goes on behind the scenes when members are warned for breaking the rules.

As for why mindfly is posting when you seem to think members have been punished for far less, perhaps you don't know what all led up to the suspension.

I should change what I am doing because some one who is blatantly ignoring the rules is not being dealt with.

Whatever man, I am just saying I got suspended for a good reason, Mindfly I can't even think of a bad reason to suspend him. But he and Micah can continue to post all they want about the "Faggy" players all on this roster and I should just let it go? Because I can guarantee you if I respond the way I want (seeing as that is how he is allowed to post) I would be suspended again,and rightfully so. I am just saying I want the same hammer of justice (NFM25, you may notice I like that saying now) swinging his direction as well, or I don't want to be suspended for anything I do, much like the two above mentioned posters.
