It's simple. The refs are intelligent and not blind. They KNOW this series must go more than a 4 game sweep, or the Crosby legend may diminish in value. This one will be put on a plate for Pittsburgh. I'm not a conpspiracy theorist, but this is obvious. I have to mute the TV though, the announcing is awfully biased. I've never seen biased announcing to this extent on a national broadcast, ever.
