First period over. We got outshot but we outscored them so I'll take that. Fast-paced first 7 minutes favored mostly Pittsburgh but we played better after that.

My poor husband, this post-season has been really hard on him. He's used to listening to local broadcasts for our football team. Hearing all these announcers ripping Detroit is just driving him mad.

We've looked great the last 10 or so of the 1st. If we keep this up I'm going to bed happy tonight.

Anyone else think the Wings are feeding off the pro-Pittsburgh coverage? They said...last year I think that they play best when they are the underdog, and the media sure wants to make the Pens seem like the favorite now, and suddenly the WIngs have elevated their play.

Great period overall by the Wings. They weathered the early storm, got momentum off a perfect penalty kill, pulled off a goal, and get a long PP to start the 2nd. Gotta build on it.

Well, it was a little cheap. The point is that they never complain when the Pens get these cheap little BS penalties. That is where the bias is. They seemed really upset that the Pens had to be shorthanded.

Don't forget the goal on Fleury. It wasn't Fleury's fault at all, apparently. According to Eddie O "the puck fluttered, it flew, it swept, it jumped, it bumped, it careened, it skipped, it puked, it farted, it bled, it spit, it said hello to Brooks Orpik, made a long distance call to its mother, and it got past Fleury. I wish I had something like that. That's the best way to watch a game on TV. Announcers can be nice once in a while, especially Ken and Mick, but even when you have good announcers I think it's more fun to hear the crowd screaming and the players shouting.
