sherwood40 16 Report post Posted June 6, 2009 I think the last time he did a public signing was in 2002 at art van. He is a hard one to get.
OsGOD 3 Report post Posted June 6, 2009 i have heard he doesn't sign becuase it would cost the fans too much... both firsthand and then via resale
Zata fan 40 6 Report post Posted June 6, 2009 I thought maybe the Wings had some kind of charity get together or something where you might be able to get him. I always pray and hope to nab him at training camp, but no luck. Really sucks...I don't mind paying to get him.
CenterIce 83 Report post Posted June 6, 2009 I thought maybe the Wings had some kind of charity get together or something where you might be able to get him. I always pray and hope to nab him at training camp, but no luck. Really sucks...I don't mind paying to get him. Supposedly, he signed some things a while back for some kids, and he later saw them on E-bay. So, he really wasn't too happy about that. No proof of that. I ended up just ordering his autograph. It would really cool to get him to sign something in person, though.
Yzermania 156 Report post Posted June 6, 2009 I never pay for autographs. If you don't get them in person, I've never really seen alot of meaning or significance to them. I have met Stevey on a few different occasions and have probably have 5 or so things signed by him...and I live in California. The most recent time was after the Wings vs Kings game this past january.
Finnish Wing 110 Report post Posted June 6, 2009 Dunno but when he was a quest in the Finnish WC studio he said he would love to see Leino in a winged wheel next year too.
Barrie 900 Report post Posted June 6, 2009 I would think Yzerman doesn't do signings because he's to popular. He'd shutdown an entire mall on his own. He could probably shutdown all of downtown.
Zack is Great 14 Report post Posted June 6, 2009 (edited) When I still lived in Michigan I met him at the Sports Club of America, and asked him to sign the shirt I was wearing, which is now somewhere in storage in Michigan, along with a picture I got of me with Fetisov at the same sports club about a week before his accident. I also have a signed yzerman puck that I got for Christmas. Edited June 6, 2009 by Zack is Great
Ms_Hockey 0 Report post Posted June 6, 2009 (edited) The only reason I've gotten my stuff signed by him is because my best friend's dad is friends with him. I had to give my stuff to her dad to take with him to get signed when they went golfing together one day. Other than that, my friend's dad said it would've been near impossible. tiff_luvs_homer 5 Report post Posted June 6, 2009 Last time the Wings came to Denver he came out of the hotel... we were so excited to see him but unfortunately he didn't stop and sign. He went back in the hotel and snuck out in a cab... we were so bummed
Zata fan 40 6 Report post Posted June 6, 2009 I want to get the auto in person. I could just buy a billion of them from somewhere on the internet if I just wanted it. I don't mind paying for it if there is some kind of thing he might do,but I'd like to meet him as he gives the auto...hope there is some way...
Jake Ryan 1 Report post Posted June 6, 2009 I'll sign it for you. Mail it to me and I'll sign it. Worth more than Yzerman's autograph, I tell you that. Way more rare.
AFwinger 21 Report post Posted June 6, 2009 I'd pay big bucks for his john hancock, unfortunally I would have to be in person to see it since I don't trust signatures anymore....
Yzermania19 1 Report post Posted June 6, 2009 I'd pay big bucks for his john hancock, unfortunally I would have to be in person to see it since I don't trust signatures anymore.... I've got Stevie's sig on quite a few things, but the last time I got anything signed was at the Wings' team hotel in Columbus in 2006, just three months before he retired. I got him a couple of times at Art Van in 2004 and 2005, but before that it was quite a few years since he had done a public signing. He used to to private signings, but personally I'd rather be there when he's signing. I'm not even sure if he does the private signings anymore.
