IceMunkee 15 Report post Posted June 7, 2009 (edited) I have to say thank you to all who went to the game last night. Unfortunatly I was watching in the living room, but I had to immediatly notice the crowd. All I heard after GM 4 that the Igloo was the loudest Arena in a long time. True they were loud, but you that attended last night can hold thier heads high. The traditional "lets go Red Wings" chant roared, then it non traditional chants the Boomed. Chanting Fluery, Chanting Crosby (My favorite), and singing with the songs. It was just an incredible atmosphere and you did all of Hockeytown proud! It was by far the loudest I have heard the Joe in a while. Now if there was just a way to get rid of all the big wigs in the lower bowl buying tickets but not showing up. HanKarin40 7 Report post Posted June 7, 2009 Yes indeed, the crowd at the Joe last night was fantastic! We had our TV set to incredible sound and we could hardly hear the idiot announcers on NBC, so job well done!
ifonlyicouldskate 11 Report post Posted June 7, 2009 Your welcome! I tried to do my part, but I was only one little voice amongst many. I was at game 7 against the ducks, I think the joe was the loudest I have ever heard on that night.
58Miles2Joe 12 Report post Posted June 7, 2009 (edited) I was in a bar watching, and couldn't hear it very well, but was the crowd singing? It sounded like a European football match for a second there; what were they singing? Edited June 7, 2009 by 58Miles2Joe

What were they singing? They went crazy on I want to party all night by kiss. The crowd basicly took it a whole extra chorus.
Chelios57 31 Report post Posted June 7, 2009 Anyone have clips of the Pavel chants as well as everything else? We had so many people over that it was too hard to hear the T.V. over our cheering!

sixer 37 Report post Posted June 8, 2009 (edited) It was an amazing time last night, I lost my voice after the second period, but I can seriously tell you I was yelling non-stop and was chanting all night long baby! Awesome game. For those that were there, the looks on the Pens fans faces were priceless. Someone should seriously do a priceless pic for the Pens fans who wasted tons of money to come and see there team get spanked in game 5. There was also some we want the cup chants near the end, Malkin sucks, 'Datsyuk' chants and of course Ozzie Ozzie Ozzie!!! zettsyukwall415 0 Report post Posted June 8, 2009 My brothers and I were trying to be as loud as we could because we had this older couple sitting in front of us (Penguin fans) and every time we started screaming the lady would cover her ears. They ended up leaving after the second period.

RedWingsFanatic 4 Report post Posted June 8, 2009 It was unbelievable to be there. Absolutely, totally amazing. I've been to a lot of games at The Joe and elsewhere and last night was probably the most fun I've ever had. The camaraderie and togetherness of everybody in attendance was really something to behold. It was an awesome experience.
Jersey Wing 1,521 Report post Posted June 8, 2009 (edited) Yeah, to all who have taken up my place in the SHRINE this year as I sit in the shadow of the Empire State Building, you guys and gals RAWK!!!! Joe Louis Arena has been SUPER LOUD. You are all to get a super special First Star of the night for 2009 P.S. Continuing to sing KISS "I Wanna Rock and Roll All Night" after the song shut off was awesome. Even the NBC turdbrains made note of it Edited June 8, 2009 by Jersey Wing

Jon22 0 Report post Posted June 8, 2009 What made everything better was the Penguins fans sitting with their chins in the palms of their hands the entire game. The louder we got, the more their hands started to cover their face. There was an amazing "giddy" feeling to the Joe, the kind that comes with a complete blow out of a game in your favor. MsRedWingFan 0 Report post Posted June 8, 2009 You could hardly hear the announcers which is a good thing when having to listen to Olyczyk and Pierre drone on and one about Sid and the Pens and how great they are blah blah blah. So yes thank you fans who were there and I also loved them singing the songs and the chant of course ..I usually don't care for the "so and so sucks" chants but after what he did to Z and watching him get away with whining to the refs all the time and the childishness of his attitude I didn't mind so much. I am so glad out Captain is not like that.

HockeyCrazy3033 168 Report post Posted June 8, 2009 The JLA has been rockin' all playoffs long! I went to Game 7 against the Ducks and it was by far the loudest game I've ever been to for the Wings. And last night sitting at home watching it was great! Couldn't even hear the commentators. At first I thought it was some kind of technical difficutly but then I realized the joe was extremely loud. Great job peeps!
