Every post I see you're bashing us or the city in some way or making smart remarks. To even hint that we'd be killing ourselves after the pens beat us is laughable and you sir, should shove the steel cock back in your ass and walk into oncomming traffic. Chris L 0 Report post Posted June 8, 2009 Crosby won't win the Con Smythe. The fact that for 4 out of 5 games now, the Wings have neutered him puts him out of the running. If they are going to pull a Ron Hextall and give it to someone on the opposing side, it would have to be Malkin. He's the only cat on the Pens that's shown up to play the Wings 100% every night. In fact he's managed at least a point in games 1 through 4. And in games 3 and 4 he had 3 points and 2 points respectively. Crosby for the whole series has 3 points total, one goal and two assists. You guys are useless. i assure you i never called for anyone to injure anyone... if i have every posted anything argumentative, it more than likely had to do with the conspiracy theories , crosby bashing and ref bias. toby91_ca 620 Report post Posted June 8, 2009 Guys...just in case...keep a trash can by the couch with you, because you may be vomiting...they've been talking all week long on NHL Home Ice radio about how the Conn Smythe WILL go to Malkin no matter who wins...and...I dunno whether or not I'll be surprised... Disgusted? Yes. Surprised... ...? No chance at all....if the Wings win. The only time EVER that a non-goalie won from a team that didn't win the cup was 33 years ago when Reggie Leach scored 19 goals in 16 games (24pts). No one else on his team had more than 6 goals and on the winning team, the best was Lafleur with 7 goals and 17pts. Interesting enough though that the coach of Leach's team was Fred Shero......father of current Pen's GM, Ray Shero. Malkin wins it and the blind sided head slash to Hank at the end of game 2 should be the commerical, or maybe his elbow to Franzen. When the Pens get behind he starts acting like a 5 year old throwing temper tantrums in a Walmart toy section. Sorry Makin... no toy for you. I posted this in another thread as well my wife, who was my fiance at the time had never watched hockey a day in her life before she met me. She had no bias towards any team or any player. So imagine my shock as we watched last year's series when she interupts NBC's non stop Crosby is the bestest ever banter with "who is this crosby guy and why is he the only guy they're talking about? Your team is winning right? Why arn't they talking about any of your guys?" If someone who's never seen a hockey game in her life can pick that up, there's a least some merit to the fact that his name gets shoved down everyone's collective throats. Now i will say hatred of him is slightly fanatical on here and elsewhere, but so is defending him. As for this year, i'll again point out,....My fiance has only really watched the hurricanes (we live in raleigh) since last years finals and again this year the question was "Crosby,.....man,...again?" "That guys not even really doing anything,......" This is my first post here, as I am a Habs fan. But it was getting pretty quiet over in the Canadiens' forum....Anyway, I have hated Crosby since day one! I can't stand how he being forced upon us like some kind of uber-player! I kind of like the analogy of Crosby being like Blue Cheese. It tastes like crap, but everyone else around you goes on about how good it is...But I digress. theman19, your story reminded me of when I was watching Pens vs Canes. I can't remember which game it was, but my father, who doesn't even know who Crosby is (since he doesn't watch that much hockey), sat down and decided to watch the game with me. There was a 2 on 1 with Crosby and Guerin against a Cane's defenseman. Crosby saucer passed it over to Guerin who ended up scoring...and what do the commentators say immediately after? "What a pass by Crosby!", "Wow, Crosby is just amaaaaazing!".....I was thinking in my head "what the hell? Saucer passes are done throughout every NHL game!", and then my dad says "why are they talking about that Crosby guy? All he did was pass the puck. The other guy scored the goal.".....Having a totally unbaised view voiced outloud is confirmed for me that Crosby is way overrated and he gets way too much attention for doing diddly-squat. My dad was even able to say that "that Malkin guy is better than him". I hope the Wings crush the Pens in game 6, the same as they did in game 5.
