We played pretty well. Outside of giving up the PP chance I think we looked pretty strong. But teams had some great chances.

For the first time in awhile Hossa looks pretty good tonight.

Great hustle at the start. Crappy middle. Continued crappiness with the occassional decent chance at the end. God, this is NOT the game I was hoping for. They had them on the ropes early and then the Pens adjusted. What did we end with 6 shots? What a joke. Take the ******* puck to the net. I hate having to agree with Edzo, but damn Mary-Anne... go to the damn PAINT once in awhile!!!!

It seems to me they have plenty of urgency when they DON'T have the puck but not enough when they DO have the puck.

Come on boys, the Penguins aren't that hot defensively. Make them PLAY defense instead of taking bad angle shots or skating around with the puck.

Our defense is too carefree with the puck. Not enough urgency to get it out of the zone.

Hossa proved once again why he's s***, and I'm glad the fans are booing him. He tries to take 3 guys at once, but refuses to make the simple play in front of the net.

Unless we improve our play, our worst fears will be realized.

This isn't what I expected from the Wings before this game.

I didnt like this period at all.. too much time in our own zone, the zebras missed 2 obvious penalties on penguins but didnt call em..

I liked how hossa skated at the end of the period though.. looked confident

Wings have a big problem though and thats the third line... no chemistry at all, and both helm and homer are lazy defensively.

Ozzie kept us from the sloppy play by Ericsson, Kronwall, and Stuart. Ozzie looks very solid but our offenses have to step up. I think Hossa will have a big night; his shift looks far more comfortable. However, this is the last game of the Stanley Cup Final. I am not going to accept god awful defense in front of Ozzie the Wings did 2 or 3 times ALREADY in the period.

Let's put the pressure on the Pens and play great hockey in the 2nd and 3rd. Go Wings!

We need to find a way to get shots through the Pens shot blockers.

If the Wings aren't getting enough pucks on net, that means our screens and deflections are meaningless. The point men need to be better. They're taking us off our game now.

Not bad. We all know the Wings get better as the game goes on, it's been the story of the playoffs. Both teams pretty good in their own zone. I'm OK with a 0-0 start.

I thought we played well this period, offensively. Shots on goal does not take in account the good chances we had and the time we spent in their zone. Defense is still a crap shoot.

Babcock need to change the lines... franzen+hossa isnt a good combination... the third line spent too much time in their own zone, the 4th line acutally had some jump and spent some time in the offensive zone

Detroit also seem to use the D-men TOO MUCH... they skate in to their zone put pressure, circling around, then pass to the D then shot is blocked and turnover... happend several times
