Systemfel 33 Report post Posted June 27, 2009 (edited) What's with the missing pick 118?Toronto forfeited that pick for cheating on the Jonas Frogren signing. They gave him extra money to buy himself out of his SEL contract. Edited June 27, 2009 by Systemfel

55fan 5,133 Report post Posted June 27, 2009 (edited) What would you guys think of a 5'11" 180 lb right-shooting left wing? His stats don't really tell the story. He's a kid you really notice when he's on the ice. He wears the A, and just plays with heart. Local favourite. Ranked at 109. I like him. Here's the info: Keegan Flaherty North American Skater Fargo, USHL Final Rank: 109 Midterm Rank: 154 Position: Left Wing Shoots: Right Height: 5' 11" Weight: 180 Born: March 25, 1990 Born in: Duluth, MN, USA Last season's stats (sorry they came out jumbled) GP G A PTS +/- PIM PPG PPA SHG SHA GWG SHOTS SPCT 47 14 9 23 +12 41 7 3 3 1 2 124 .113 Edited June 27, 2009 by 55fan

Guest mindfly Report post Posted June 27, 2009 (edited) That analyst on the NHL network just said that Erixon should stay in the SEL another year, "he's not ready for pro-hockey". LOL. The more seasons in the SEL for a defender the better... they just must have a few solid seasons as a regular before going to nhl . especially defensemen... if your name isn't victor hedman that is. Casey 145 Report post Posted June 27, 2009 Calgary's first round pick. But the funny part is that he seemed to think the SEL is not pro hockey. Okay. I saw that and didn't know if it were a shortening of Ericsson.

Casey 145 Report post Posted June 27, 2009 Nick Jensen, D, USHL. Reports show him as an offensive defenseman with good agility, 22 points in 52 games last season.
Guest mindfly Report post Posted June 27, 2009 Another right-shooter... good job. we need em
JeeSpot82 10 Report post Posted June 27, 2009 Jensen is committed to St. Cloud State for 2010, so it's like the Max Nicastro situation: the Wings have FOREVER to sign him. Long term projects are just fine.
egroen 384 Report post Posted June 27, 2009 Two offensive d-men, hopefully can pick up some defensive d-guys with these last two picks.. Or Haula if he is still somehow around at #180.
55fan 5,133 Report post Posted June 27, 2009 I retract what I said earlier. Pit didn't get Mike Lee. They traded their pick to Phoenix who took him. Not that anyone probably paid attention, but in case someone did, I wanted to set the record straight.
Snazzy 0 Report post Posted June 27, 2009 It's a great day to be a Red Wings fan! Holland and Nil never seem to disappoint. I can hear it already, 5 years from now some of these late rounders that nobody ever heard of are going to be a name that everyone will know... and praise Detroit's "incredible" scouts. Thanks you Red Wings!
