zata20 4 Report post Posted June 27, 2009 http://redwingscorner.blogspot.com/2009/06...-to-return.html. Sounds like good news to me! Ryno was impressive in the few games he played with the Griffins in '07. I'm really anxious to see what this Axelsson kid is all about.
VikingMark 5 Report post Posted June 27, 2009 While I liked what he brought to the '07 training camp, he really hasn't shown anywhere near the same level of talent since. I know he was injured this past season (knee?), but I'm unaware of any other injuries in the past 2 years that would explain his overall disappointing play. I very much like the fact that the Red Wings invited him to this years camp, & I do hope that Ryno can elevate his game again.. but really it's all on him to prove he deserves a spot, and from what I've seen/read; it's doubtful. jm2c
Konnan511 1,736 Report post Posted June 27, 2009 Ryno seems like a bust and unmotivated, but I'm really excited to see a fully healthy HTD!
Peleshob 0 Report post Posted June 27, 2009 I'm happy this guy is coming back... hopefully he can play like he did during his short stint in Grand Rapids.
titanium2 867 Report post Posted June 27, 2009 I'm really excited to see a fully healthy HTD! I think his attitude problems are overblown. He's no angel but it's not like he's a primadonna in the locker room.
russianswede919293 95 Report post Posted June 28, 2009 I really liked Ryno the first time he came over...He left me greatly dissapointed though so I will accept him back again only without expectations. I saw him as Homer or Franzen and he was not. I think a lot of it was that he left before he could get used to the north american game. If he sticks around long enough he could make a decent player for us.

The Mule 0 Report post Posted June 28, 2009 Ryno is a monster, so this is good news. As for Dick, I'm anxious to see what he can do.
Scotty 0 Report post Posted June 28, 2009 I'm glad Ryno is coming back to North America. I was kind of disappointed when he went back to Sweden because that year after seeing him play a couple of games he looked like one of the better players the Griffins had. Chain Ryno to a spike on Holland's lawn so he can't go back to Sweden. He's 10 feet tall, 500lbs and has great hands.
Snazzy 0 Report post Posted June 28, 2009 Maybe the 6'4" 215ib Ryno can take Kopeky's roster
SweWings 45 Report post Posted June 28, 2009 Dick Axelsson will probably work out fine. I really hope he pulls a Daniel Larsson and stays in NA. I don't really know what happened with Ryno. For a while it seemed like he had everything going for him and then *poof* he was gone. Going to be an interesting training camp this year.

His girlfriend had just given birth to his kid back in Sweden. I don't know about you but I'd probably leave too. At first I thought, well, why did he leave in the first place? Well, the Wings probably pressured him. That thought is a little unnerving.

I dare anyone to trespass onto Kenny's lawn with a 10 foot 500lbs Swede guarding it. Actually... wait for it... I think I can hear the "Swedes are too soft anyway thoughts" coming. I'm excited for him as well. I am a little concerned about his skating. It apparently wasn't that great when he was in GR and now after all those injuries he had I wonder if it's gotten worse.
