Booster313 138 Report post Posted August 10, 2009 (edited) I call BULLs***. How are you going to have a Hurricanes Rap Night, use the song to your benefit then sue the artist. That's bush-league! Do you think Steve Yzerman and Heniken should sue Kid Rock? Edited August 10, 2009 by Booster313
stevkrause 1,247 Report post Posted August 11, 2009 I hate the Hurricanes and this just furthers the hatred... in such a dismal economy, they basically get free advertising and they're suing the guy over it?!?! especially after they already recognized him at a game for his song? what a joke of an organization... elriqo28 2 Report post Posted August 11, 2009 dumb s***s....figures. Can you imagine if we sued Kid Rock for promoting s*** wearing a Wings jersey?
Konnan511 1,736 Report post Posted August 11, 2009 Did you guys even read this article? The rapper asked the Cane's to play one of his songs and they did once for a breif moment and now this rapper is saying his song is the official Hurricanes song and trying to associate his music with the Hurricanes trademark. Do you think Steve Yzerman and Heniken should sue Kid Rock? You can sue for pretty much anything. Man sues for not getting give-a-way because he is a male. Yeah, it's one thing to be seen wearing the sweater and shouting out the team name...it's something different when start intimating that you have some kind of direct, authorized affiliation with the team. But despite that logic I think it would still be in the best interest of everyone if the LA Lakers could look into getting a court order against Dyan Cannon. Yikes! ShanahanMan 473 Report post Posted August 11, 2009 Jeez, wtf? They happily work with the guy, play his music, then turn around and sue him? Based on those circumstances I dont think they have a case.
rage 24 Report post Posted August 11, 2009 (edited) Maybe what this Rapper stands for (you know what he raps about in other songs) is not something they felt was family oriented and thus did not want him marketing himself as the offical artist (for lack of a better term) of the franchise. Maybe that had something to do w/ their decision to sue. Remember Esham's "Hockey Daddy?" Man I love that song, but listen to his other stuff, lol, "I sleep w/ a Ozzie under my covers!" Yeah not something the Red Wings would probably want to get behiend, cause the next thing you know you got kids buying Esham's CD's not knowing better, and then you have the parents all outraged and whatnot. "Damn Red Wings got my Son hooked on Acid Rap, now he's gangbanging in Detroit trying to be like Esham!!!" HAHAH. I am just having fun here. Who knows what's really behiend this. Guest micah Report post Posted August 11, 2009 Do you think Steve Yzerman and Heniken should sue Kid Rock? Yes. Kid Rock should be sued for sucking and given life in a sound-proof room.
Holmstrom96 347 Report post Posted August 11, 2009 Yes. Kid Rock should be sued for sucking and given life in a sound-proof room. Civil litigation cannot lead to criminal penalties. But other than that, LOL.
