OK, so Danton gets sent to prison for attempting to hire a hitman to kill his agent.

Then the agent gets caught illegally using Danton's credit cards while he's in prison.

Now, it turns out that Danton's lawyer WASN'T EVEN REALLY A LAWYER!!! :scared::ph34r::unsure:

Given that one of his other clients mentioned was also a murder-for-hire plot who is appealing, assumedly based on a guilty plea, and that this guy seems to be more concerned with not being found out than the welfare of his actual "client"...it makes you wonder if Danton wasn't simply told by his "lawyer" to plead guilty to receive a shorter sentence than if convicted, regardless of whether he would have actually been convicted or even was guilty.

Wow. Danton/Jefferson has probably the worst record of picking leadership figures to trust.

Before his gets to the second page, someone will be seriously asking why Kenny hasn't signed Danton to play on the third line.

I'm sure somebody's already looked up his parole date and tried to figure out if STL still has his rights and what the salary cap implications would be. ;)

From TSN :

A parole hearing for former NHL player Mike Danton, jailed for allegedly trying to have his coach killed, is set to take place today in eastern Ontario.

Danton, a native of Brampton, Ont., pleaded guilty in 2004 in the U.S. in a failed murder-for-hire plot that allegedly targeted David Frost.

From TSN :

Former NHL player Mike Danton was granted full parole Friday after telling the National Parole Board the target of his murder-for-hire plot was his father, and not his controversial and oft-scrutinized former agent, David Frost.

As conditions of his release, Danton is to have no direct or indirect contact with his father, Steve Jefferson, and no face-to-face contact with Frost, unless pre-approved by his parole officer.

Danton said he hopes to return to playing hockey.

I wonder if the Leafs have contacted him yet?

From Toronto Sun:

The disgraced former agent, David Frost, has resurfaced in the minor hockey world in California under the assumed name of Jim McCauley.

Frost, banned from numerous minor and junior hockey leagues in Ontario and best known as the intended murder target of his former client, ex-NHL player Mike Danton, has been spotted teaching hockey in Southern California.
