Kind of a stupid topic but has anyone noticed Datsyuks point trend? His point totals from the past 4 years in order 87, 87, 97, 97.. What are the chances of that?

Datsyuk and Zetterberg can both put up career years this year playing with a grinder like Cleary. Ya Homer was good, but I think Cleary can be a better fit for them, a little more skill and awareness. As long as all 3 stay healthy.

I'd agree at face value +/- is pretty useless, and is often used in appropriately when comaring different players, but within the correct context, I think it is still a useful stat.

you're forgetting the most important element Cleary adds to keep up with them - speed.

The regular season is somewhat important, but if you're going to score 1 goal the entire playoffs, then I could care less if he scores 117 points.
