tommingthepuck96 1 Report post Posted September 15, 2009 These topics symbolize the start of the season, and a annoyance that comes along with it every time someone gets injured.
seeinred 1,488 Report post Posted September 15, 2009 I was there and I swear I heard one of the doctors say it was a broken clavicle(collarbone). Even with that type of injury, he doesn't need to be out that long. I had one, and they told 4 weeks. Obviously I don't play at the NHL level, but it doesn't need to be a devastating injury. GMRwings1983 8,794 Report post Posted September 15, 2009 (edited) Because if we signed someone else Helm wouldn't have gotten injured? Yes. An enforcer would have deterred this from happening. How many times do we have to explain this to you? Edited September 15, 2009 by GMRwings1983
Doc Holiday 0 Report post Posted September 15, 2009 Yes. An enforcer would have deterred this from happening. How many times do we have to explain this to you? I'd rather have tewnty injured helms than one Aaron Downey!
waitahochiminute 2 Report post Posted September 15, 2009 This is a bummer, but it's better now rather than in April eh!
GMRwings1983 8,794 Report post Posted September 15, 2009 This is a bummer, but it's better now rather than in April eh! Right, because this means we won't have injuries in April. The hockey gods hate us, as they showed last year in April, May and June with the injuries.
GoWings1905 2,694 Report post Posted September 15, 2009 This is a bummer, but it's better now rather than in April eh! I never understand this logic. Does having injuries in October somehow make you immune in April? I seem to recall some pretty injured Red Wings late last season.
Doc Holiday 0 Report post Posted September 15, 2009 I never understand this logic. Does having injuries in October somehow make you immune in April? I seem to recall some pretty injured Red Wings late last season. It is called looking on the bright side. It is better to have injuries now than in the post-season. It isn't saying they will be immune, just that having injuries now it preferable.
rick zombo 3,739 Report post Posted September 15, 2009 (edited) Call me a purist, but I was hoping to see the 100% full team start this season in Sweden. Here's hoping for no more injuries. Especially to the entertaining young guys. Edited September 15, 2009 by rick zombo
