It's baaaaaaaaack! Wings first pre-season game tonight! :yowza:

Not sure if the game is being televised, if so I guess it could be added to the title.

Here's what the line-up will look like:

Johan Franzen-Pavel Datsyuk-Tomas Holmstrom

Kris Draper-Justin Abdelkader-Patrick Eaves

Mattias Ritola-Kris Newbury-Jan Mursak

Johan Ryno-Cory Emmerton-Jeremy Williams

Nicklas Lidstrom-Jakub Kindl

Derek Meech-Brian Rafalski

Jonathan Ericsson-Andy Delmore

Jimmy Howard

Daniel Larsson

Can anyone confirm that it will be broadcast on WXYT? I'm pretty sure that it is.

Really looking forward to hearing Ritola, Mursak and Kindl tonight, got high hopes for these three. Isn't it great to have Kindl paired with Lidstrom? Hopefully he takes a fair bit from these games and soaks it all up. Also good luck to Eaves who makes his pre-season debut for the Wings.

Not a bad lineup for a pre-season game. I'm interested to see what the young guns can do, and Kindl paired with Nick should be very, very interesting.

Go get 'em, boys!

Unfortunately, I won't be able to watch this one. I'll be at the Bruins-Leafs game in Toronto.

Me too -- scored free tix! I think you'll have to be in Detroit to watch it anyway.

It is being broadcast on WXYT-- I read that on Mlive.

Looks like Babs put one guy on each defensive pairing who is definitely on the team (in this case Lids, Rafalski and Ericsson). Odd, but I guess the idea is to maximize the exposure for hopefuls while not wearing out the veterans (in this case Ericsson is a "veteran" since he's going to be on the team for sure).

That means the next game will have:

Kronwall-Kolsov

Stuart-Janik

Lebda-Pyett

Osgood

Cloutier
