Not to flame or be negative but can anyone really see wings win this one given the horrible play lately + injury to franzen?

I couldnt be happier with the lines! Not just because The Euro twins are back, but Fil and Leino are on the second line. Maltby has been replaced by Eaves, May is still in. Abby is back! Bert has been moved down, now he is on the line he deserves to be on, the 3rd line. Lazyness gets you nowhere.

If I am not happy about anything it is because Drapes is centering the 4th line again. He looked really good playing LW, and showed he is better at it. Having him play center because he is good at faceoffs is not going to cut it, but we dont have any other option right now.

Very excited for this game. We're going to have to play well to earn a win, but I'm looking forward to a bunch of things; namely, Datsyuk and Zetterberg reuinted, Leino in the top six, Abby getting a little more ice time, and Eaves' debut. LET'S GO WINGS!!

If Hank and Pav are having trouble getting it going apart it doesn't make sense to keep forcing it. Put the two most gifted offensive players together, and hope for some 2-3 line scoring contribution.

can't wait for tonight's game! 4th lines looks awesome and that third line looks very intriguing, expecting a big game from abby to prove he belongs even though he will be getting sent back down. ZDH line is going to be good to see again tonight too, hopefully stuart does some more headhunting tonight !

If there is strong focus and success keeping the Alex's in check, then the Wings have a good shot. The 2nd and 3rd lines should look to be creating quality scoring chances, as Washington is WEAK on defense. I am convinced that Mike Green absolutely sucks (on defense).

Agreed. If our defenseman make better passes to start the rush in to the offensive zone we are golden, because the Caps do not play a defensive game. All we need to so is shut down their first line and defensive pairing and we have a real good chance at a win.

Finally ... the Euro Twins back together. Hopefully they tear it up so much that Babcock has no choice but to keep playing them on a line. I actually really like these lines for tonight's game. We need some production from that second line though.

I have a hard time believing Osgood or Howard will shut the caps scoring down. The only way we win this game is if we outscore the caps. Red Wings will need at least 5 goals to win this game. So yeah unfortunately I predict a Wings loss today...

Definatley, Drapes has been playing well thusfar and curious to see what Eaves is gonna do. Here's hoping the ZDH line will work it's magic of old.

I see where you're going with that but that would have been great about 8 years ago. Too much age there now. Veteran savvy can only get you so far.

Maybe the original quote was supposed to be "means ladies love him". That would make sense. Although I can't imagine a spelling error/typo making it on to the internet.
