It can, I've read about some goalies having pregame rituals and stuff that involve staying on the ice at the end of practice until they shoot a puck through the hole and that sort of thing.

No, it was through the hole. Relive the silliness.

Silly me, I already replied to a poster here who wrote that Osgood gave some fans a puck through the hole. Duh.

That's such a strange incident. Losing the game wasn't enough for Kovalev, but he also lost his stick.

I loved all the Datsyuk/Ovechkin battles last night. And Ovechkin was DANGEROUS every time he's on the ice. Such an exciting player to watch.

I agree. I remember when Caps were on PP that Ovechkin just carried the puck all the way from their zone into the offensive zone and I wondered how not even Datsyuk or Zetterberg are not able to do that. Wings PP had hard time in getting the puck into the zone while because of Ovechkin the Caps wasted very little time to get on offense. This might also be due to Wings' poor PK.

That's cool. I've always wondered about the holes in the glass. Aren't they really dangerous for players? You would think that a player getting checked into the glass could easily get caught in one of those holes and hurt himself.

It was very cool. Until Ovechkin used it for his gum, ha ha.

Just got back from the game! We ended up getting really good seats (4th row, to the side of the goal), so we got to see 2 of the 3 goals right there. Also.. during a commercial break, Ozzie skated over and handed a puck to 2 little kids who were sitting by the little hole in the glass. It was amazing.

And then.. right before the start of the 3rd period, when they were skating around Ovechkin threw his GUM through the hole at us. Classy.

You gonna frame it? Encase it? Bronze it? After all, he is a star. :hehe:

I just realised that for the first time in I think 1,5 years Osgood's regular season GAA is under 3 and SV% over 90.

1.5 is incredibly misleading and it is quite interesting that you would use it.

Osgood had those stats for one season. What was his GAA and Sv% in 2007-2008?

Who cares? What was his PLAYOFF GAA?

Well I don't. I was just pointing out a meaningless fact.

What do you mean misleading? I meant that I don't think that his GAA and SV% were never under 3 and over 90 during '08-'09. His '07-'08 stats were great, something like 2.20 and 92%.

Edit: I meant "under 3 and over 90" during '08-'09.
