11/7 GDT: Red Wings 1 at Maple Leafs 5

I am in NO WAY a bandwagoneer (real word?), but this game is making it easier to switch to the free Strikeforce MMA showing on CBS at 9:00pm EST. I want to see how well Jason "Mayhem" Miller does against Jake Shields. Mayhem is one funny dude on Bully Beatdown.

And as far as the Wings go, yes Lebda makes mistakes. Would I trade him? Absolutely, even for a pick and/or cash. Is he the sole reason Detroit is having a rough go of it a lot of nights? No. Is he the defensive "weak link"? Absolutely. His only positive attribute is his speed. But that is not enough to justify him taking up a spot on any of the three defensive pairings.

I honestly think a lot of the Wings problems are mental, and not mental like: "Are they freaking mental wasting a roster spot on Lebda??" (hint: the answer is yes). I mean mental as in lack of focus, intensity, drive, etc...

The funny thing is, Toronto will probably lose by like 4 goals in their next game....

You have to keep in mind that as bad as Toronto's record is, the team isn't really that bad. They have a decent roster that shouldn't have 2 wins right now. They haven't been able to catch a break so far, but in the course of an 82 game season, the bad luck is bound to turn around. It's turning around tonight.

I say Holland moves for an impact player. We're a team of role players right now, even Datsyuk and Zetterberg. Talented role players, yes, but we're lacking any real difference maker this season. I imagine we'll see a few players moved to bring in a fairly big name, not another role player.
