Just reinforces the point that Babcock doesn't want to change anything, but it also shows that he has had a meeting with some of the players to figure out what's going on and he met with the other staff. This is one part I wanted to highlight, because a lot of people are bagging on Leino and I seem to be one of the only people defending him.

"We've talked a ton about that because you would say, 'Why would you stay (the same),'" he said. "Well, we go through the scoring chances and we go through the breakdowns; and it's like Z (Henrik Zetterberg) said to me, '(Ville) Leino is giving me so many opportunities, I just have to put one in the net.' We are playing well, we just have to break the bubble and stay with it."

The article also says that Babcock talked to Pav and Z about putting them back together and they didn't think it would be the best option for the team.

I think Babcock is a good coach, but keeping the lines the same just seems like suicide. The Zetterberg line is the only line that is consistantly an offensive threat. The top line looks terrible. Holmstrom should be on the 4th line during 5 on 5 play, and on the first powerplay unit. He can't seem to handle or complete a pass, and the only upside to his game right now is his deflections. But I guess with all the injuries right now they don't have much of a choice.

I am with you there I Really Like Ville have since I seen him in last years Preseason. He just needs to play with Pav in my opinion.

maltby hasn't outplayed anyone

Really? He has the same amount of points as Leino, with about half the playing time and five less games altogether, whilst providing a physical presence. Do you want to guess who has the same amount of goals as Maltby? Bertuzzi. Again, with double ice time and more games.

I ask again, really?

I totally agree and didn't even know about these stats. Also, who else on the whole team is agitating the enemy or throwing opponents off rythym at all? Maybe Stuart. That's IT.

Datsyuk Zetterberg Cleary

Homer Miller Leino

Eaves Helm Draper

May Abdelkader Bertuzzi

At least one line will be scoring, and the rest couldn't possibly be any worse defensively then we've already been.

Miller plays the wing, not center.

Leino Zetterberg Cleary

Bertuzzi Datsyuk Eaves

Draper Helm Miller

May Abdelkader Holmstrom

Lidstrom Rafalski

Stuart Meech

Eriksson Lebda

Careful. You can get banned around here for saying such things. Tomas Holmstrom is the Red Wings' version of Gretzky.
