ComradeWasabi 109 Report post Posted December 10, 2009 Why are you guys going apes***? All three of the calls that didn't go Detroit's way were legitimate. The follow-through rule on the high stick is accurate and Mickey just read it, I remember multiple instances of this in the last couple years. Bertuzzi had the free hand on him, that's gonna get called 100% of the time. The puck was under Conklin, the ref whistled it down legitimately. Those calls were all just fine. There is no conspiracy theory and the calls weren't bulls***. Take off the tinfoil.

Yak19 303 Report post Posted December 10, 2009 Jobbed again NHL is Fail! We lost 4 goals on bad whistles(fast) in the last month, we lead the league
ZabiOfDetroit 0 Report post Posted December 10, 2009 WTF I literally just turned my tv on to see Bert on a breakaway. Way to go NHL.... Also get rid of Conklin's stick, wtf it has blue tape lol
XxGoWingsxX 0 Report post Posted December 10, 2009 we could probably have a montage of the goals they've pushed in from under the goalie's pads because they can't roof it lol yes true, but that makes no difference....we get screwed more than a two dollar hooker in vegas during summer. BlueMonk 102 Report post Posted December 10, 2009 Okay, the goalie move with the stick is not a penalty. The Wings have themselves to blame. Put one past Conklin. This PP would be a great time to do it.
Detroit # 1 Fan 2,204 Report post Posted December 10, 2009 Could we score please? I cant handle losing to the bush league f*** ups in St Louis.
VM1138 1,921 Report post Posted December 10, 2009 I don't like that follow through rule. I can't think of many other rules that allow exceptions for accidents.
sureWhyNot 19 Report post Posted December 10, 2009 I wish someone would punch Conks in the mouth, he talks to much. Because he can. Do you blame him - the Wings let him walk after having a great season. He is now owning the Red Wings and chirping away. I would be doing the exact same thing. sixer 37 Report post Posted December 10, 2009 There's a lot less controversy if Bert just buries the friggin' puck the first time like he should have. You can say that again!
CMatt89 63 Report post Posted December 10, 2009 Intent to blow the whistle? Bertuzzi intended to score, does that mean he gets the goal?
Louisville 112 Report post Posted December 10, 2009 I'm not so upset about that play called dead as others are but.... Two high sticks that were not called is a HUGE LOAD OF BULLs*** and why I can't take anything the refs do in this league as credible anymore. It's sad that it's come to this, I used to love the NHL. MotorCityMadness 388 Report post Posted December 10, 2009 how do we get burned by the same damn intent to blow the whistle...I would love to see the league explain how it happens so many times to one team
commadore183 103 Report post Posted December 10, 2009 Wings on the PP. One of the Blues players intentionally knocked the net off.

The puck was under him yes, but the puck was chipped in before the whistle blew.
