Detroit # 1 Fan 2,204 Report post Posted December 10, 2009 Good amount of shots, but we're getting destroyed in the dot. Win some faceoffs, get some traffic in front lets go wings!
Jasper84 333 Report post Posted December 10, 2009 Conklin has been a wall both times we've played him this year. Can't say I'm surprised. Ex-Wings always shine against us.

ShanahanMan 473 Report post Posted December 10, 2009 (edited) HAHAHAHA JOHN KEATING- "Well, your team is used to playing from behind". He's gonna get punched in the face one of these days.... Edited December 10, 2009 by ShanahanMan
GMRwings1983 8,804 Report post Posted December 10, 2009 We are terrible in faceoffs in this game. These kids from GR have a long way to go to learn how to take draws consistently well. Oh and Lidstrom continues to suck on the point. He used to have a knack for getting pucks through, but now he can't do it even if no one tries blocking his shots. The physical game has been good however. The scoring touch will hopefully come.
thedatsyukian 7 Report post Posted December 10, 2009 (edited) Seriously, when the f*** are red wings players going to start burying their chances? It's not a coincidence that every goalie has a strong game against us, we just can't finish scoring chances. They're usually right into the logo or straight into the pads. Oh, and 50% of them are either blocked or go wide. I don't mind all the low quality shots not going in but these high percentage chances that we constantly piss away are irritating to no end.
FinRedWing 172 Report post Posted December 10, 2009 The team leading after 1st usually ends up losing the game when these two meet. 3/3 this season. So nice work Wings!
Datsyuk2Zetterberg 1 Report post Posted December 10, 2009 (edited) Yeah, it's like we have 20 Samuelssons on the team. will that clear enough cap room to get Kovalchuk? Edited December 10, 2009 by Datsyuk2Zetterberg
BlueMonk 102 Report post Posted December 10, 2009 I want to see more point shots, too. Even when the defenseman gets time and space, he passes it up and moves the puck to the forward on the half-boards. I don't get it. That shot was a staple of their PP with Homer, Franzen or Cleary mucking it up in front of the net. They've abandoned it completely this season, no matter who's quarterbacking the PP unit. MotorCityMadness 388 Report post Posted December 10, 2009 Has Lidstrom gotten a shot through traffic this year? Seems like everything is wide or blocked. they are few and far between...he's lost the quickness on his release
GMRwings1983 8,804 Report post Posted December 10, 2009 We usually win when Brad May fights. He needs to challenge this Winchester ****** in the next period.
Dynheart 42 Report post Posted December 10, 2009 (edited) they are few and far between...he's lost the quickness on his release Age. Shoulder injury...Man area getting worked over by a hockey stick...I don't think that 99% of the people on these forums realize how that can effect your skating and shot. Top that with him being 40? Just be thankful he's still an elite defenseman...that's just been downgraded to human. Edited December 10, 2009 by Dynheart

Ah, so there is a method to the madness . Apparently, the Blues give up the most goals in the 2nd Period than anyone else in the league, from what I heard from the FSN Call Sam desk guys. Start of the 2nd Period.
