Goalie stats update:

Jimmy Howard:

Record-- 9W-6L-1OT (tied for 2nd in Wins among Rookies)

GAA-- 2.42 (tied for 12th with Luongo and Nabokov)

SV%--0.914 (tied for 19th with Price and Tomas)

He continues to do a great job night in and night out. He gave up a bad one tonight, but so has every goalie in the history of time, and the important thing was he bounced back and didn't give the Ducks another chance for the rest of the game. He hasn't made a habit of letting in softies either; surprisingly sturdy and reliable for a rookie that's giving his team a chance to win. Can't ask for any more than that.

He's not doing ANYTHING. He isn't a good coach. Holmstrom has been allowed to poison Datsyuk and now is being allowed to poison Zetterberg, as well. GET 96 OFF THE TOP LINE FOR GOD'S SAKE, BABCOCK. ***.

YEAH! What YOU said!

gawd...you're such an easy mark...

I missed the game, but love that vide of Abdelkader's fight. Not many players keep fighting after they're on the ice. That makes Abdelkader that much cooler in my book that he's throwing punches while on his back.

Was the video you saw from the Ducks stream?.. haha.. Those commentators were maybe just a little biased during the fight.. Saying that Abby had it easy that fight because he has a visor.. I assume since Perry definitely does not wear a visor. or.. wait?

Yup. Howard's looked great. Nice to see that he got the first start tonight. Now the big question is whether Babcock stiffs Ozzy and gives Howard the start tomorrow too.

I just wanted to mention that tomorrow's game is absolutely critical.

Right now Nashville sits 3pts ahead of the Wings in 7th place in the West (with the Coyotes sitting in 6th with 38pts).

Currently the Wings have three 34pt teams behind them and one 33pt team. Right now we're only 4 points removed from the 14th place Blues.

A win tomorrow puts the Wings in 8th place in the West and only 1pt out of 6th. A loss puts them within reach of four other teams...

That was the definition of a brutal win... but i will obviously take it. (I should hope you win the effing game with 10 PP's)

And the PP was awful again we are lucky we had so many of them.

I would be furious if I were a Ducks fan, those refs were noobs and they called some stuff that should have been let go.

My face when Bertuzzi tied up and game winner'd 23ueds6.png

All the ppl that were talkin smack about Bert can now thank him for these 2 points, along with Howie.

Abs and Helm looked good.

but......
