A) Irrelevant to what exactly, their succes? I know - you can tell that I know because I said as much. Their pussification is very much relevant to their pussification though.

B) Where's this "admittance" to trolling you speak of?

I said "If I were a troll..." If I were a unicorn, I'd get a kick out of your crush on me.

"OMG, Micah just admitted to being a unicorn, call CNN, there's a unicorn posting on the internet!"

Not enough hugs when you were a kid? Uncle molested you? Addicted to crack?

Some serious outbursts of erratic behavior... ECT does wonders...

One of his sons just told him that he's been *** for years. The hummer and eveyrthing else... sadly just one big overcompensation. "Quit being a *****, boy!" "But father..."

I don't think I would call CNN because a unicorn is posting on the internet. I'd call CNN because there's a unicorn.

This thread had the hope of being one of the best, then turds had to derail it with trivial nonsense.

This sums up the Jets for me :P

And if one player spoke for the entire team then you would be correct. And if a few players spoke for one team over many decades then you would be correct.

Pussification is not relevant to THIS topic. Unless you imply that players like Gordie Howe, Mickey Redmond, Ted Lindsay, Bob Probert, Darren McCarty, Henrik Zetterberg, Vladimir Konstantinov, etc. *******.

You said you love that I can't "Resist" you. Since this is a discussion forum, why should I need to "resist" anyone?

Or is it no longer about discussion and more about pissing people off with a single picture of a player turtling to define the Red Wings as an organization? And perhaps a cookie to those who can "resist" your points.

Wow. Y'all must be those classy Wings fans I hear so much about.

Well, if you both want to talk about my family, I grew up awful far from all of my uncles, they never had any real chance to molest me, so I missed out I guess. Being a white guy who grew up in rural Wisconsin in the 80's, I never had a chance to try crack either:(

My oldest is 5, and I couldn't care less if he turned out ***, but I'd disown him if he ever owned a Hummer.

<headscratch> ...and yet you posted a pic of an individual wing scoring a goal, and an individual wing holding the Cup...

Sorry. I didn't realise the picture had to capture ever single Red Wing from every single era....wait, no I'm not - because that's not what the OP had in mind. His take was that the Orr picture is what you think of when you think of the Bruins - not that that single immage of a diving Orr is what represents every single momment of Bruins history. When I hear "Red Wings", I think of champions and weaklings - hence the Cup pic and the cowering Franzen pic.

As someone who lives in Raleigh i've always looked at the hurricanes as sort of a "aww isn't that cute,.." type of thing. Don't get me started on weither hockey belongs in the south,...(i was born and raised here, but have played my entire life)

Still, when the team started in 97 i NEVER expected them to win the cup, so when this happened it was a moment in time i'll never forget.

The image I and most Raleians associate that nite with isn't this one, it's the one about a second or two before, where Rod gets the cup and throws his head back. The shot is from behind him, all you see is Brindy looking up at the rafters with the cup in probably one of the coolest images i've seen in sports.

Anyway, for the canes this is my vote.

Maybe I'm in the minority here, but I don't really understand what you mean. "Several teams" have pics that when you see them you automatically think of that team? The example you gave was the Bobby Orr goal and to be honest, when I see that picture, I think of Bobby Orr, not necessarily the Bruins (maybe it's different for a Bruins fan).

In any event, do you have any other examples. Based on everything people are posting here, I just see these as fun pictures or pictures from various cup wins, etc. Nice memories, but not entiring sure if that is what you are looking for......then again, as I suggest, not exactly sure what you mean.

Sorry, I acknowledge the fact that although this is a Wing's forum that we have many other team's fans here as well. So I thought that I would open it up to everybody. I thought that there could be some fun to be had between rival team fans, for example I would suggest that Patrick Roy's Statue of Liberty pic could be used as a Wing or Avs pic. Some freindly rivalry. But at the same time I am interested in seeing other people's defining images of our team.

Which represents the Wings because of the fact timely goals in the playoffs and winning cups is what the Red Wings as a TEAM are known for. Franzen (one player on a team) being a diver does not suddenly make the Wings a team full of divers. Congrats. You have brought the point home that Franzen is a diver. How exactly does that point make the Wings a team of weaklings? Oh right, it doesn't.

Well I'm sorry that you think of the Red Wings as a bunch of weaklings, because I haven't seen that since I've watched the team.

Perhaps because of a single game in the playoffs against the Ducks in 08? Or maybe the year before when they were playing an tough strong defensively sound hockey club? Or maybe one or two games where the other team took some cheap shots? Oh right, when an enforcer wasn't playing the team was frail and weak. That's why they have done so well pre and post-lockout despite having the rest of the NHL pounding away at them.

How silly of me.
