GMRwings1983 8,804 Report post Posted January 14, 2010 By that reasoning nobody in professional sports should take part in international play (y). Good stuff. It was good reasoning on my part. I was talking about guys who are injured or just coming back from an injury, especially a severe one. I never said anything about all players in all sports. Good stuff on your part overgeneralizing what I said.
Miller Brew 0 Report post Posted January 14, 2010 Or maybe that they just won't last long in the playoffs. Considering this year's unfortunate injuries, making the playoffs is a success in itself.

titanium2 867 Report post Posted January 14, 2010 The Wings pay his checks and not Sweden. That's why he left Sweden to come here. Yeah right. If he had a choice between having to explain himself to his boss or explain himself to his family then which one do you think he'd choose? "You thought you could've played for Team Sweden and you didn't do anything about it? How could you? No more berry picking for you Johan, you're grounded!!!" He can always get another team. A man's family though... I mean, that s*** is powerful.
Miller Brew 0 Report post Posted January 14, 2010 You really think that's what Kenny believes though? That they won't make the playoffs? People were crying after the loss @ Islanders that Wings are doomed. Of course Kenny believes they are going to make the playoffs. It's his team, he built it. He knows they are the best in the league when healthy. I wouldn't be upset if Wings make it to the finals again during a 'rebuilding year'. Kenny believes. I back him 100%

It was interesting.

I remember Babcock taking responsibility for the loss to for letting the team fly home to see the family when they should have went straight to the Island. "When I was working with the league (on the schedule), I should have fought harder. I didn't like the way (the placement of that game) looked. "You get home from the West Coast, you're groggy and then you have to get back on the road. Full marks to the Islanders, but we turned the puck over all over the ice and didn't have any energy." A man's family though... I mean, that s*** is powerful. He can nicely explain to his family that he's coming back from an ACL tear, and doesn't want to aggravate it by playing in a tight Olympic schedule with many games in few days. Does his family want him to blow out his knee again? Win. Lose. GMR win.
