Yeah...If it comes down to it though, Miller or Leino they are the same age, Miller has more experience, and is playing the game much harder.

For me its not even the lack of results that is making me start to question if I still support him, its the lack of effort.

How much is it to ask to pressure the defenceman with the puck and not give him 4 seconds to make a perfect pass...just skate and get your stick in the passing lane...if its slightly off target it gives the Wings D more of a chance to get back.

The lack of effort is just pissing me off.

He fought for the puck last year, I just don't see it this year anymore. It was there early, then when the results didn't come he just sort of gave up.

Yup. Lilja used to be the Lebda around here. Then he simplified his game and sacrificed himself blocking shots. When he was first playing for the Wings, I never thought there'd come a time we'd be saying "Man I wish Lilja was in the lineup."

leino is the only forward without shot today... hes had a good 7 minutes too.

bert needs to score sometime on these short breaks.... hes been getting a couple a game since the game against the canes, not putting them in the net....

we are controlling play though and shutting ovi out, good effort so far

yup, but thats the first step, he needs to continue to improves his skating, but he must also work on getting his legs stronger to get to that point. Maybe he should work out with helm this summer, if he is still around by then

it wouldn't be so bad if Leino was good at SOMETHING. you see guys like Eaves making some good cuts, making some room and finding guys with nice passes or winning the puck in the corner or playing good defense. but I haven't seen Leino make any kind of a good play in months.
