Who do we put on the trading block?

I hope we trade Filppula to the penguins. That way when I become a Pens fan I'll be able to watch one of the greatest younger up-and-comers in the league.

I'm with you.

You and I will win untold riches by jumping to their forum

At least 4 Stanley Cups in our lifetime I predict.

i love how everyone on this site thinks the wings should never make any trades or moves. come on maybe if we were in top 3 in the west but we need a shake up. i like flip but who is gonna want to take s*** players ?! nobody you have to trade players when there playing well. it doesn't make sense but thats how it works.

Sorry bud, but Filp will NEVER be a top 6 player. Third line center at best.

Then why in the past 2 years has Filppula centered the second line during the most pivotal games, those being the stanley cup finals?

Furthermoreful, he was behind only Zetterberg, Franzen and Lidstrom is points per game last playoffs.

The real question is how do we fit Lilja under the Cap. Somebody has to go.

Probably Maltby. What's his salary? They are going to have to cut a lot. And half this team has No-Trade Clauses.

Yes, he has proved useful in the playoffs, but top 6 players don't finish seasons with just 40 points. Doesn't happen.

Third line center at best.

Not to mention he is from Finland. They don't produce high quality offensive players over there.

Probably because he wasn't playing in the top 6 last year (except for the second half of the playoffs) or getting any PP time.

THIS STUFF ISN'T ROCKET SCIENCE DUDE

stop your bitching, this is supposed to be about who we should trade or put on the block.

Back to the topic, as I mentioned before, I'd like to see Homer sent (only used as rental so we can get him back next season), as well as other players we plan on ditching anyway (Lebda mainly). Also, I'd love to see us make room for some young talent (not young "talent" like Abs and Leino but REAL talent) as we're simply too damn old and most of our current young guys don't cut it. I would LOVE to see Ralfalski and his horrid salary be loaded off somehow.

Also, I like your idea about trading the rights to Hudler.

Maybe trade Rafalski to a contender if he waives his no-trade.

Possibly Homer. These are the only guys that can give value for a playoff run.

I would consider Dats or Z if we were loaded in the farm, but we are not.

I actually remember him getting pretty adequate time on the PP and second line toward the second half of last season. Plus, if he was truly a top 6 player, he would have shined through that third line spot and gotten pushed up. He didn't.
